Radenergie Wheels?

just stumbled on this site and found some radenergie wheels and look what showed up..

these wheels legit or some knockoffs? whatever it is that black/polish combo would look hot on a black ride.

That is so whack! Let kill him aaron!  Its a copy of  your wheel.  Alot of companies cant think of their own design so they take from Japan.  Also the leons come in the black also.

haha!! its crazy how all these companies just sraight up copy the design of a wheel, they didn't even change it up a bit besides the center cap!!

o btw, what's up with your 21's?? did you ever get them dipped in chrome yet? I'm still debating if I should get my lips chromed or not.

Nah havent done it yet just been too lazy to send them out.  Ill do it though.  The only bad part if u curb your wheels u would have to get them chromed up again.  lots of money in chroming.

There is more to this story than meets the eye. I was told not to say anything, but there is more here than appears. Rad essentially owns the rights to these wheels now as far as I know. That is all I will say.

Wow, dirty move.  I'll never buy from them or sell their products again.  I used to offer them to my high end Euro customers.

The Beil knockoff is an MST wheel. It says [i]right[/i] on the centercap. I have no idea why Radenergie is selling it under their name, that's fucked up. The R-series is the Radenergie I know, and I think everybody else knows. Looks like they added MST wheels to their lineup to offer some entry-level poop?

What's the relation between MST and Radenergie?

There's something else up here.

for that price you'd imagine youre paying for the real deal ... also .. I am not a huge fan of that style or the look ...IMO

It means Wheel Power in German. Their US distributor in Huntington Beach is called Wheel Power

Even though Rad bought the rights to this design and making it the right to distribute these wheels here in the US like Traffic stars and Maya.   Rad did introduce this wheel at SEMA last year and Superstar did have this design out before the bought the rights to this design.  Kinda like how RJ bought out one of the VOLK designs and called it a RO_JA ....But i think people still went and got the VOLK gram light rather getting the RO_JA version.  Either way its a nice wheel design and the prices still stay high which is still good =)

So, did Radenergie buy just the design, or are they rebranding Superstar wheels?

And how does MST work into this?

I dont know where the MST came from.  They bought the design. Which alot of US manufactures do.  Its like Auto Couture wheels are made here in Carlsbad 20 mins away from the shop.  Alot of the wheel companies in the US come from alot of the same places if they are the 3 pcs forged designs.  Superstar was suppose to be brought in by KONIG but that never happend. So it still has quality dont get me wrong RAD is a company that has to stand by its standards.  To be honest how many designs can you come up within a circle...not that many.

so from what i'm reading they bought the rights to the wheel, nothing to get bent out of shape over there.

anybody remember the last leon harditt knockoff thread (couldn't find it)? where the company in cali was selling all the same wheels and using the same pics... i wonder if superstar is one of those companies that will license their designs to other companies. any input?

I think we all know there is nothing we can do to stop the copy...it goes on all day in every industry.

Just about every rim company does this...its not new. 
 
You guys would be surprised at how many of your fav "JDM" rims are only assembled in Japan....and made where forging is really cheap. or Companies that just buy designs and dont make actual rims themselves....

If the company stands behind their name, they wont put out 'crap'. I assure you that Radenergie isnt going to soil their rep with a poorly made rim.

Its a very common practice. There are many black label rim designers and manufacturers who sell "exclusive" designs to rim companies. Some only buy the design for a contracted length of time or buy it outright. 
 
some even just have them labled with their brand...along with 20 other companies :shrug:
 
I worked with one for a little over a year. that goes for just about every aftermarket part out there. 
 
To the outsider they can be seen as a "knock off" but to someone in the business...its business.

so tru.. there's no way we can stop the copy, shit i still re up now and then for some bootleg dvds! Everthing nowadays is copied in some way.. I don't care for knockoffs just only when somebody tells me my rims are knockoffs because there not radenergie wheels... now that would suck ass :shrug:

OK OK it came down to it but here it is:  RADENERGY is made in Japan and is a branch of superstar just like how Glassenheit (made in japan)has the same design as the HERZOG.  So there isnt any copying involved just not putting all ur eggs in one basket now can we just move on....hahaha

German translation for Rad Energy = Wheel Power... get it? Pretty slick.

Little known secret in the wheel biz; now you know.

I'm not even sure they make apps for Asian cars, to be honest.
They are mostly intended for BMW & Mercedes.

To me this is nothing new just about every company if not all companies copy or buy out rights in way or another. Thats just the way it is. Just look at Sportmax and Rota look how many wheels they either copied or bought out rights for.

6800 for a set of 21's....


no ones dumb enough to pay that price on these wheels.
