Y32 suspension fit into FGY33???

From what I have been told, the spindles don't fit but everything else works?  Is this true and can anything be done to make it fit?  IE 300Zx brakes etc...I have tried to research this, but all I have found is Y32 and Y33 info, not FGY33...Thanks

burgy im on the search as well, there are a few guys here that i know can chime in and i tried to PM them but no response

the rear fits
the installer stated that the top mounts fit but the spindle does not line up with the Q45 rotor. The Q45 is just too big.

Anybody know the differences between the Y32 and Y33 spindles?  are they both tapered or not?  size and diameter? spacing between bolt holes etc?  

Also, does anyone have a stock front Y33 spindle and strut asssembly they want to lend me so I can compare them?? Thanks

From what I've seen in person form owning both Y32 and Y33 JIC front coilovers, the Y32 will fit Y33's as long as you enlarge the 2 largest holes on the spindle. Zion_97 can elaborate more as he had a shop actually get his Y32 JIC's to fit his Y33 by doing so. Also make sure the Y32 has the ABS sensor holes.

2. These holes need to be enlarged on the Y32 JIC's.

at least you found out the its doable but here are some closer looks at the spindle for anyone else that can chime in

Yeah, I just wish JIC would rebuild the coils......I may have a local guy that can do it though??  It won't be cheap though.

you can either go full front s13 suspension, and use the same coilovers in the rear with fgy33 tophats, which yokota, (grant) has for sale right now.
 
 
or you can save up, and contct jic and just get brand new fgy33 coilovers from them and not worry about them blowing. i have a set of fgy33 jics coming to me know. if i don't use them maybe you could buy them!

i believe one is a 10 mm spindle bolt, the other is a 12...its been a while but yeah, basically need to bore the holes...
 
i had to figure all that out when i had airrunners...

does'nt JIC have a trade up? they will give you a credit for your old JIC's..before considering a rebuild I would look into this

Thanks everyone, I have looked into all of these options.  I personally may just buy new fronts or something, but I have a guy here in Tampa that does custom suspensions for rally cars etc and he wants to see if he can make them fit.....I think its more the challenge of it for him.  That being said, I will have to compare them next to each other I guess.  

Unless Zion_97 can shed more light.  also, what actually bolts to the holes that were highlighted by Benji in the pics above?
