stretch video. .

Just though y'all would enjoy this video. .  its a 225/40ZR18  Kumho Ecsta MX on a 10.5J -28 Work Equip 01 rim. .  This rim is discontinued now. . Guess they only make it for a couple of years . . usually VERY ugly. . but obviously. . these look pretty good. . the step makes it a lil harder to seat..  but we got it . .

The Rat had nothing to do with the video. . it was just a funny pic i took of the Rat after i killed it with a BB gun. . just so happened to be in the foreground of the rim. . i thought it would be funny. .

IIRC, 17" and up were 5 spoke.

they never made those in 17" .. only 18" . .and only for two years .. :(

If he is, then those rear wheels are 14" wide.

I do wonder when people will get over the fascination of "ooooh the MOST stretch".... like "ooooh the most lip" or "ooooh the lowest ____ chassis" etc... It gets kinda trite after a point when the only reason to do it is to show up other people.

Kool video! I don't understand what is going on? How is the air entering the tires? Why does it push it and then it seems like small explosion.

theres such a huge amount of air going in that it moves thwe tire to seat
and the explosion is the wheel seating on the wheel

What's in that propane tank setup, just air ? I just saw that same tank setup being used on Overhaulin. I also saw that other stretch video on Youtube. Kinda sound like a formula one car whizzing by, when the tire seated.

thats one of the guys from ziptied using the ether way of mounting tires
that propane tank ur referign to is called a "Cheetah" its just got compressed air in it

basically its a tank filled with compressed air. . @ 120PSI and then you open a 2inch valve and it ALL comes out at once.. thats what the exposion is. . You need the huge rush of air to fill the tire and push it outwards to seat the bead on the rim inner lip. .

but dude, if you hold a measuring tape up to them, it says 14.. so.. yeah...

but what's funny is... it's even 100000x easier to just read a sticker vs. measuring a wheel w/o a tire on. So i wonder why that wasn't done...

The very outer part of the lip is NOT measured. The area measured is the area the tire beads in...not past it.

Ya .. no shit. .. . If it sez 13j on the sticker its 13 inches wide. . you think that RAYS made a mistake in what stickers they put on .????  Not likely. . .
