Previas and low offset do not go very well with one another without "overfenders" & "Fenderwork". I know that there are many with Eggs who learned this from experience. It all comes down to what type of look you are going for as well as how much you are willing to do to make the wheels fit.

My set up I am running 19 X 9 + 33 W/ 5 mm Spacers in front and 19 X 10 + 34 in the rear. I needed "Overfenders", had to cut about an inch off of all four fenders, notch out the sliding door, and have a Custom Sliding Door hinge to make it all work. I had to do this for clearance and suspension travel purposes. Keep in mind that because the Egg has a solid rear axle the rear end tends to "shift" to the right when "compressed". The rear lateral rod will help a little to "center" the axle but in my case......it didn't do much at all.

To be honest I had no intention of going this far.......I originally bought the wheels thinking that they were going to fit and after getting the set almost selling them. But with the help of my buddies who did all the custom fenderwork/sliding door notching and shawnthemonster who sourced the custom hinge/overfenders we made the wheels "fit".

Anyways....I hope this helps.....there are a couple other guys with photos of their Eggs on here.....take a look at their photos which should give you a pretty good idea of what kind of offsets you are going to run. Good luck with the Egg projects....hope you have great friends like mine to help you....cause if it weren't for them........my Egg would be still "Stock" and "Rotten".........still a long way to go but thanks to them she is headed in the right direction.

I don't know how high but I saw some traffic stars on an TCR that were F 20-9.5J +9 and R 20-11J -30 the other day on the net. But I definately agree with everything that sukoshiyoshi said about overfenders and the sliding doors. I don't have any personal experience like him but only reading.

Wow.......did the Egg look like it was heavily moddified? Because those are some rediculously aggressive offsets! I wish I could run that aggressive.............I want more lip.

Onajinohito,

Please post the photos of that Egg that you saw on the net with those offsets......I am very curious to see what it looks like.

Here is his website - http://ip.tosp.co.jp/i.asp?i=wdec21w Sorry if his car has been posted before. I don't check the galleries very often.

First link TCR spec has his wheel specs and ALBUM link has some pics. I was looking at his club White Dream because since I just sold my old car I am going to do a Wagon for sure, just not sure which one yet. He also has a carview website. It is toward the bottom of his homepage. It says minkara. I know a couple people here on VSC have minkara accounts including me, if you wanted to know anything specific about his car.

Also if you get a chance check out the links at the bottom of his webpage. Especially T-Selection. They just recently built a escomp edition TCR that is pretty clean. Not very low offsets but they look nice none the less. One more shop site to check out would be http://www.s-iz.net/index.html . They have done a lot of nice looking cars but I like the champaigne colored TCR.

BTW, sukoshiyoshi, have you ever had any oil leak problems with your egg? I have a friend that works at Toyota as a master tech and he has been trying to talk me out of buying an estima because he said they are just a pain to work on and they leak like crazy.
Thanks!

Onajinohito,

If you look at the first link that you posted up the rear is very much "Cambered". That is pretty much the only way that you would be able to pull off a -30 in the rear. To achieve that look you need to ship in an "independant rear suspension" from Japan. Not impossible and can be done with "deep pockets" and "know how". Unfortunately I don't have neither and have given up on ever going that route.

As for oil leakage.............with the oil pan so low and protruding from the Frame..........Lowered Egg = Bottoming Out = Leakage. Because the Egg does not have a "Oil Pan Gasket" you need to use "Silicone" to seal it back up.........that is if you don't have a leak in you oil pan from hitting something so hard.

The Toyota Development Team did everything in their power to make the Previa difficult to work on. From the Front Suspension, Checking of the Oil "Dip Stick", the Installation of Speakers in the Rear Panels........the list is absolutely endless. But in the end when it is done right.........it is a thing of beauty. No matter how difficult it is to work on the Egg(I say that because my friends do all the work) I will always love the incredible, edible, egg.

The key to doing the Egg is doing everything right the first time around. If you think that you are going to get air in the future......hold out and do it in one crack(I should take my own advice). The less you have to take apart and put back together the Egg the better. I would also suggest that you pick up the "Repair Manual" that the Toyota Techs use. The Chilton is good but if you got what the "Pros" use even better.

Let me let you in on a little secret........don't burn any bridges with your friend who is the "Master Tech" at Toyota........he will become your "best friend" once you get your hands on your Egg. My Toyota "Master Tech" is my best friend.......don't think he thinks of me and my Egg as a "best friend" though. LOL Also hope you have a bunch of good friends (like myself) around you who are going to be willing to get their hands dirty, cut up, bruised, etc. who hate the Egg but will keep coming back to offer a helping hand. I think that a lot of my friends have spend more time on my Egg than on their own rides.

Anyways......I wish you the best of luck with decision on your Egg Project. If it was easy.......everyone would be doing it right?

Dave,
I usually have -3 camber plates on the B but they tore through the tires quick so I took them off. Thanks for all the help it helps me out I need to just find some nice rims. I have a friend that is a master tech and he warned me about the oil leak issue. He came with me when I went to buy my Egg. I need to order JDM headlights and tails asap. The front Fender does have a dent in it but I plan on repainting it. Looking at the rear suspension it looks just like the xB but I need to look into it further. I would love to Bag it but the Wife would rather me just put coils on it. Stupid question what is the difference in the TCR10W to the TCR10G?

TCR10G is either the LUCIDA or EMINA...please correct me if I am wrong. This is a model which has not been released in the US.

LUCIDA

EMINA

http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m46439742

Personally I am happy that Japan did not release this edition to the US........don't think that it looks as good as the Previa.

FYI...

Keep in mind without swaping a new independant rear suspension set up, you CANNOT camber the rear. The Previa is a RWD with NON-independant rear suspension. You cannot camber the rear without breaking something and running into major problems.
