Need help with tire fitment for 20x8.5 and 20x11..
Im looking to do a streched setup on my Cayman S.. Wheels are 20x8.5 front and 20x11 rears. So far im thinking of going with 235/30/20 front and 285/25/20 rears, or maybe go with 225/30/20 front and 275/30/20? With these setup it will give me a close enough wheel circumference. Will either of these setup give me a strech? any suggestions?
Just for reference stock setup right now is 235/35/19 and 265/35/19.
Thanks!

^^It really doesn't matter if anyone has a Porsche or not, a 20x8.5 wheel is a 20x8.5 wheel.
Personally, I'd go 235/30 and 265/30. The 235 won't stretch much on an 8.5, but something about narrower than stock tires on a car doesn't go too right with me.

Not advisable to have a stretched setup on a high performance vehicle. Especially on a Porche. Read some article that says even by upgrading wheel size and width will effect the handling.
Coupled with stretched? Ya plan to drift ur Cayman?

Stretch doesn't equal poor performance guys. It all depends on the tire's construction. Many race cars (no, I'm not talking about drift cars) run a bit of stretch. In typical tires for performance cars, many are built with reinforced sidewalls...which allows for a "bit" of stretch to be run for clearance issues if necessary or to even further the effect of the reinforced sidewall to limit side wall flex and shimi. Now I'm not talking about 215's on 10's...but you could very easily run a 265 on a 10 where uneducated people would say don't go below 285 or would just recommend the 285's.

A better question would be "why" are you going for the Stretch look? Is it for "clearance" issues or to just go for the "look". If your reason is of the later.....I say don't do it. If there is "function" and it is necessary to run a stretch then do it. No sense "faking the funk" just for looks.......but that is just my thoughts.....at the end of the day it is all about you and if you are happy with it....its all G. Good luck with what ever you decide.

You can run stretch on a Porsche and have plenty fine handling. We used to have a guy with a Gamballa GT750 Gt2 come into our shop frequently with stretched 305's.... I went for multiple rides and let me tell you if there was a way for that car to handle better, i did not want to be in the passenger seat! haha

The bottom line is that there isn't really anywhere to go on the Cayman with stretched tires.
The car doesn't allow for particularly wide wheels, and the tires available in 20"
aren't particularly narrow.
235/30-30 and 295/25-20 is really the correct combo for this car. I've done 305/25-20
on the rear of this car but it needs an 11" wheel.
9" front is maxed-out on the front of this car but may not clear coilovers depending on the offset.
11" rear is maxed-out on the rear- so much in fact that the tire basically touches the plastic
inner fender liner when the car is on the lift (there is more clearance when the car is on the ground..)
