Custom air management with Ridetech RidePro E2

Selling this out of my Q45... it consists of:

- 1 Thomas 337 air compressor
- 2 Firestone 2gal DOT air tanks
- 1 SMC air trap
- Air Ride Technologies Ridepro E2 controller/gauge setup
- Air Ride Technologies Ridepro air valve manifold
- various XRP fittings custom nickel-plated and anodized brown

Everything is mounted on a round board meant to fit in a spare tire well, so technically, this whole setup can easily be adapted to fit in any car I suppose. Following are some pics during my mockup stage, which ended up working so well, I got lazy and left everything as is before I put the car in stasis. There are some markings seen on the board, for the enterprising buyer, you can get a piece of acrylic mirror, and frosted acrylic cut to the same shape as the board, and mount it to the top. Then have a piece of brushed aluminum laminate cut to a slightly smaller diameter, and with those designs cut out of it, and lay that on top. Light the frosted plexi, and voila, bad assedness. Or, keep it simple and just wrap the board in a layer of vinyl or speaker box carpet and call it a day.

There are holes in the board (at least I think I drilled the holes already... don't remember anymore), to run all the electrical wiring and plugs underneath, so the only wires you'll end up seing are the few attached to the valves.. which I've already rerouted to run in between the solenoids, as seen in the pics. All air lines for the pressure senders and air bags/struts are also routed immediately upon exit through the bottom of the board, so ideally, nothing will be seen. The hard lines seen are just mockups (but again, they work totally fine as they are), so one is a tad bit closer to the air tank than the other. If the buyer would like, I can probably make up a new left side hard line to be totally symmetrical with the right side and that's that. The original plan is to also run hard lines from the outlet of the air trap, into the inlets on the two tanks (replacing the push-to-connect tee, 90s, and DOT hose seen in the pics)... those hard lines would "wrap around" the two existing ones seen in the pic, and all the hard lines would be polished. The pipe running between the compressor check valve to the air trap would be replaced with some AN fittings with a section (about 6" or so) of Earl's black braided nylon pro flex hose. Included are all the fittings to complete the setup as described (and they are seen in the fittings pic). So ideally, there'd be no yuck brass plumbing-looking fittings and DOT nylon lines seen from the top...

To make everything pop a little bit more, the buyer can also paint the tanks and compressor the same color as their car... and that's pretty much it.

Asking $1600 for everything...

Hi Van,

I was curious as to how many pressure senders do you have?

If you are using one for each bag and one for the tank, how did you plumb it to sensor the two tanks?

The whole board itself is 24" diameter... overall height from bottom of the board to the top of the tanks is a tad under 9", but you'd want to allow for a little room under the board to route the senders and plugs and wires etc... so figure about 10" total height. There's four pressure senders, one for each corner (which are routed off the manifold). The fittings for the senders are 90deg and come right off the manifold and the lines leading from them to the pressure senders go right through the board, so you don't see any lines from the top side. The air tank pressure sender is run off the two hard lines leading from the tanks to the manifold. If you look at the fittings on the manifold inlet, they are tees, and the tops are fed from the tanks, and the bottoms lead right through the board (again, so no lines are visible), and tee into the single tank pressure sender... both tanks and the manifold always see the same amount of pressure, so that's all you need to do. Initially, my plan was to run the pressure sender off one of those tees, and the other was going to go to a switch to run a pneumatic ram which would raise and lower the false floor with the marble mural over the air system...basically kill many birds with one stone. Of course, if you don't plan on needing that extra air line for anything (you can run it to some air horns, or a quick release fitting to fill tires or run air tools on the road, etc.), then you can just leave them teed into the single tank pressure sender, too...
