Wow! That was absolutely amazing! Hands down the best Opening Ceremony I have ever seen! The Chinese really had a great "coming out party". Looking forward in seeing all the great events and the best compete in their respective fields. Imagine what the Closing Ceremonies have in store!

Let's keep the "Politics" aside and enjoy the Olympics for what they are........the World truely coming together to display their very best athletes. Good luck to all your respective Countries and Cultures. Let the games begin.

What was your favorite part?

Aloha,

I saw about 3 minutes of it, then i went out to see a local matsuri, and found some new friends to get drunk with.

But it seemed like they did a good job, and looking forward to the games (although i doubt many records will be broken in this weather). Goddamn i forgot how hot and humid it gets in this area!

SikNLow where you at!!! Hahaha..speaking of those 8-8-8 marriages.

Yah..I'm anxious to see Phillips break the record for most medals by one athlete ever in the history of the games. The stories that intertwine with the games are what I find more enjoyable.

Hopefully the Womens Gymnastics Team got all their butterflies out and will step up when it really counts. Just glad that they were able to qualify and more on.

I was concerned when watching the Men's Volleyball.........they had to go to 5 sets to close the deal.

Also R.I.P. to the Volleyball Head Coach whose Father who was Killed while sight seeing. Last I heard the Mother who was also involved in the same attack is doing better. How sad.
