Under Car Air Installation

Just finished setting up a friends XB.. everything was mounted under the car due to a custom stereo install in the trunk. 
 
 
What was installed
 
Custom mounting Bracket
3 Gal tank 
SMC valves
Viair 480 compressor
Water Seperator
Dakota Digital guages
3/8 airlines
 
east Street Fronts with Cusco camber plates
slam specialties rear

Wow! Nice & clean install!

But just wondering, izit safe to mount everything outside exposing to the elements and road debris?

pretty safe... i have mines for over a year already mounted outside.. everything they sell are actually made to stay in the weather.. those same valves i see them and replace them on euiptment at work.. and they fail becuase of wear and tear.. 
 
but it sounds pretty scarry becuse you figure rain and water from the road kicking up.. its not as bad as you really think.. my stuffs still look new all under your car.. but again im a clean freak and usally once a month i lift up the car and wipe the air compressor and tank down..

Clean install.........look forward in seeing this SCION on the ground at the up and coming car show.  Hopefully when I am ready for air I plan install everything out side and under as well.  I took out my "spare tire" and have a lot of room under there.

Maybe it's due to the nice weather in US. We here can rain everyday or even for a few days! Not to mention stones and sands on the road.

But if it's a show car, then it's cool. Especially when on display, a mirror was put underneath the car to show off the installs and all.

running everything under the car is completely safe. minitruckers have been doin it that way for as long as trucks have been being bagged. that watertrap (i believe thats what it is anyway) looks like its kinda low though.

yup the water trap was the lowest part of the install.. only when you let the air to zero press it got close to the ground..

our cars are daily drivers and Hawaii has tropical weather and it just rains when the suns out.. Roads here suck.. got sand and everything else you can think off plus salt air the worse thing for anything

Looking good marshall.  Yah we do them outside all the time for scions and no problems.  One thing  i would suggest is using some heat shrink to stop water from getting in on the connectors to the pressure senders and the valves oh and also the pressure switch.  Other then that it looks good!!!!

thanks for the tip.. would never think of doing that..

Looks sick Marshall.   Are those MAEs?   Hard to tell between MAE, Kreis, Keskins, and Euroline Ns from the back.

Wow alot of things fit well ... 

I hope there are no haters reaching for things ... also maybe put some wrap around the bag where it does not let the heat from those compressors come close to warming the bag ... I know after playing with switches I wouldn't want anything near those soft bags ..

LOL, install looks good...maybe put some blocks along the tow hooks or something to keep it from hitting the equipment if it goes full down on accident or something?

I have a question with regards to installing air suspension parts outside.

Is there anything bad if you install it near an exhaust? like the tank or the compressor?

wow marshall, this BB came out very sick. i didnt know you did the air install on this. very clean and simple.

Nice install Marshall!  The only thing I would be concerned about would be the compressor's mounted upside down.  The compressor head generates so much heat which will raise past the body of the compressor and can shorten compressor life.  Just my 2 cents

Jeremy, That is a good point. I have installed over 30 compressors like that but so far no issues at all. Most of our Scion XB installations end up like that since people don't want the noise inside their car. In fact in one of our shop car we are running dual Blitz pumps like that for over 4 years now and nothing, but very good point.

i knew those were ssr kreis before you said so.. i love those rims!
