Curtain install q's...

I just installed my Bellezza curtains front and rear, but from the looks of it the two way tape provided didn't hold up that long it did for a couple hours, but on one side the top rail fell off, the top rails are metal, anybody else have or had that problem with theirs?

did you clean the panels down with alcohol before applying the tape or warm up the tape with a heat gun?  i have seen this problem with some installs, with our current project i actually made some holes and counter sank some screw in the rails to hold them down...they have been on for a month or two without any problems.

Clean off the surface good with some rubbing alcohol.  Take the cheap stuff the bellezza curtains come with as far as double sided tape.  Get some 3m tape (heavy duty tape).  Then go to your local hobby store and pick up a product called adhesive promoter this helps the glue to stick on better(Same as primer on wood dash kits).  We never have this problem with any of our installs and we never use screws to put them on just in case you dont want them anymore you dont have holes in your panels.

My curtains came with 3m tape and they were okay for awhile. It could be the heat because mine started to get loose too. I just used superglue over the 3m tape and it seems to be working.

Get the grey stuff.  It seems to work the best because its more heavy duty.  Its the same stuff they use on putting on lip kits and rear wings.  Japan has some good stuff too but might as well use the stuff you can get at your local HOME DEPOT.

the backing of the tape is red

Just tried that 3m red backing tape, and it held for a while, but the middle of the rails seem to be coming off but the parts and the end of the rails are sticking on fine, so just the middle portion err... is comng undone. It's probably because of the metal rails bent them as much as i could. Dunno if it has anything to do with the size of the curtains, maybe it's to tight because the size i got is small and it's pulling down wards? Maybe I need the Medium size?

Go to your local Advanced Auto and ask for body molding tape. Strong tape. My table is held on with that, and has been there for over a year with no problem.

If that doesn't work, I have had the grey 3M that Freddie suggested holding mine up for almost 4 years, and I live in So-Cal so we get plenty of heat, my car sits in the sun all day at work, it's still strong.  The only thing is that the roll is like 1" wide, and you need about 1/2" strips, so just cut around the roll w/ a blade and you'll have 2 strips.

Got mine at Home Depot, it's outdoor heavy duty double sided 3M, grey roll.

Yup, 3M gray double-sided tape, the one with the red backing, is the strongest, held up my anceltion curtains in the summer when the original tape failed.

just bought some 3M body molding double sided tape with red backing, hope it works. I'll swing by the local Home Depot and probably pick up some of that out door heavy duty tape, what department is it located in? Thanks for the help guys, man all this hassle just for curtains LOL... oh well my fault.
