[b]Classing:[/b]
This event will feature open classing. What does this mean? Run what you brung in one of three classes:

[b]FF:[/b] front-engine, front-drive
[b]FR:[/b] front-engine, rear-drive
[b]AWD:[/b] four-wheel or all-wheel drive

Mid-engine or Rear-engine vehicles (a'la Porsche, MR-2, etc) will be classified with FR vehicles for this event.

[b]Points & Scoring:[/b]
Winners will be determined by FTD within the class.

Knock a cone out of the box/over = +2 sec
Off course = no score

This will be an autocross-style event. If you are not driving you will be asked to shag cones. Fortunately, the entire course is only comprised of 15 cones!

you need to make smaller classes for all competitors to be happy and not feel cheated.

Well, that assumption is made with the further assumption that all drivers are equal.  In the case of this event, a stock Miata beat a Z06 Corvette, two S-chassis with SR swaps, and several S2000s with lots of work.

Right now there are too few participants overall, and certainly too few "skilled" (at gymkhana) participants for the limited classing to be an issue.  If the event was broken out any further, most classes would have one car.

Perhaps in the near future we'll adopt the JAF/JMRC classing which is based off of the FIA classes, but for now no one who came to compete has complained... they're all busy trying to find the course ;)
