How to remove pin stripping?

I've my UCF 11 for a bit, but when I got it the pin stripping was coming off in some areas. Whats the best way to remove it? I searched other places and found a tutorial that said use oven off LOL but I don't want to do that. Also its a bit lighter where the stripping already peeled off, anyway to fix that?

Use the heat gun.

I did on my Q45 and works perfect.
It took time anyway...

Heat gun or hair dryer, goo gone, and then once it's all off, polish it with something mildly abrasive, then follow with wax.  As for the lighter area, nothing but re-paint will fix that.  The rest of the car has been baked by the sun for however many years the car is old, but the striped area was in the shade the whole time.  Just say you have ghosted pin stripes done custom lol.

My buddy removed his painted pin stripes on a G35 with a sand and buff...looks perfect.

But, since yours is the sticker type, you can go to a paint supply store and buy a pin stripe eraser...goes on the end of your drill. Takes them clean off.

easiest way is an eraser wheel. it's a rubber wheel which you can use with a drill or dremel. thats what body shops do. they can be found at any big auto parts store and if not, at an auto paint shop such as Colours. Afterwards, wither buff or give a good wax and voila, no more lame stripe!

Another thing you can try is 3m adhesive remover.  Put some on a damp cloth and press it on the area of the pin stripe.  Then use your finger nail to grab an edge.  It should come right off.  You can also use the same stuff to remove the residue left by the pin stripe

no no, don't use heatgun. your paint could peel. use a 3m pinstripe remover like widebody said. make sure you use painters tape to tape around the pinstripe and not hitting the paint. i did this on my friend's car and it works and SAFE. good luck.

if you have a steady hand, a couple brand new razor blades work perfect...
 
an eraser wheel would probably be the most preferred ways...

i wonder if this would even strip the paint. because what i think, i believe, is soften the pin stripe but it might soften the paint also so it could peel off easily in the future. but that's just my theory.

Good thread.  I want to remove the pin striping from my F50.  

I'd be leary about using Oven Cleaner as well.  I'll look for that 3m pinstriping remover
