LMAO!! OH mannn my stomach hurts from laughing so much. Hahha :smiley-rofl:

You know, what is more scarry then this, these people are your neighbors, and co-workers, and you just don't realize it. :smiley-rofl:

I'd just love to attend one of these, dance around like a buffoon and then stop abruptly and yell, "you people are and bunch of fucking idots! CARRY ON!" and then walk out with a straight face. :giggity:
Nothing like that feeling of puilling the needle off the record moment.

Those comments etc... just are not right at all.:slap:

This is what happens when you get filled with the spirit, you pretty much loose control.

Sorry I'm not trying to be a jerk and I know it was meant to be funny, but I just don't see the humor.

Take Care.

I did have the sound on just not finding the humor in making fun of someone's religion, beliefs, or practice.

Caoboy; why are you saying it's sad and they must be crazy to ack like that. This is what happens when you get filled with the spirit of course different people react different ways. How would you like it if someone videoed you kneeling in prayer and said "that's sad, he must be crazy to act like that, etc.. same concept. I don't know I'm not trying to be a downer or preach I just don't find the humor, It's just me, my bad fella's. Please don't get me wrong cause if you find if funny that's ok, I was just expressing that I don't.

Premiertea; If you've ever been filled up and overflowed with the spirit you would understand:biggthumpup:

Oh I'm not trying to have a debate or anything just expressing my opinion=)

Shane. I don't believe in any Gods..not yours, not other country's Gods etc. I'm even a priests kid...went to Sunday School, went through Catechism, etc. But it was during confirmation that I figured out all by myself that it was all pretty much BS. I learned that religion was created by man as a system of control for man. Religion was created...it wasn't always there. I even asked several pastors and theological doctorates to prove to me that it wasn't created by man and they couldn't. Everything was just left up in the air and labeled as "faith". Which to me is BS...I have faith, but it's not religious. I have faith that my friends and family will be there for me. I have faith that my car will start when I turn the key. I have faith in myself that I can achieve the things I set out to. So to me faith isn't religious. Do I think religion is bad? No...I don't. At least the concept of religion anyhow. But most religions have become corrupt and taken things too far out of context. But I do think that it's good for some people. Some people need controls to have/maintain better moral standards. They need a control to make them feel safer, or to have some kind of explanation for everything. It's just too bad they forgot to put dinosaurs in the bible and a few other kinks in that chain to keep everything more credible. Haha...I mean, if you honestly think two people named Adam and Eve just sprouted up...how do you account for early Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon man? We are a much more modern society now and learning so much about the history of our planet and our civilization's birthplace that religion as a theory is being discredited quite substantially. I'm not saying you can't pray to anyone, but what per say makes your God any better than any of the other ones people believe in? Know what I mean? So if you want to believe in God (or any deities) and the concept of religion then that's fine. Just don't believe for a second that those of us that do not are somehow evil or lost. We are in fact, quite found and are very capable of having just morals and common courtesies. I too am not trying to create an argument over what I just stated, but I want you to understand there's far more people that don't believe in religion than you think. Most are just too scared to admit it and be shunned by the religious community as a whole. We believe with certainty that an ethical life can be lived without religion. And we know for a fact that the corollary holds true—that religion has caused innumerable people not just to conduct themselves no better than others, but to award themselves permission to behave in ways that would make a brothel-keeper or an ethnic cleanser raise an eyebrow. There is no need for us to gather every day, or every seven days, or on any high and auspicious day, to proclaim our rectitude or to grovel and wallow in our unworthiness. We do not require any priests, or any hierarchy above them, to police our doctrine. Sacrifices and ceremonies are abhorrent to us, as are relics and the worship of any images or objects (even including objects in the form of one of man's most useful innovations: the bound book). Speaking of books, some of what I stated was written in one. I used it's excerpts to better say what I in turn was thinking. The author, just like me, came to the same conclusions while still a young boy going through Catechism.

So I'm not challenging you or trying to discredit you..like I said, the concept of religion is good for those who need it or just want it...

elpresidente, the Catechism is man made, infact in cathalosism they hold that higher than the bible, as I'm sure you know, so to that end I completely understand were your coming from because everything verts back to the catechism, they will go to that before the bible. I am not nocking you or anyone for not believing in God or anyother dieties. In fact we are all free men and women to belive want we want, heck My fiance's nephew dosn't believe in God either. I don't look down on you or anyother persons or even think that you or anyone else is evil that dosn't believe in God/religion, etc... The only thing I was getting at is I just didn't find the humor that's all. Now dose that mean you shouldn't have posted it Heck NO, Dos this mean I want respond to anymore of your post's, or even look at them or videos, NO way bro. I personaly think your a very well rounded individual and inteligent, espcially on VIPcars, jags, etc... or atleast you appear to be (I only say appear to be, cause we haven't actually meet. You as well as I know people can act a certian way on the computer but in person are completely different), but I figure what you see/write is what you get.=)

Oh I wasn't picking apart what you wrote, its just the catechism stuck out more as to your coming to the BS conclusion of religion. If I'm wrong on that my bad.

But I, like you am not argueing or debating, etc... Heck I like talking about religion and see what other people believe or don't believe, it's just unfortunet I can't remember all I read in the bible. Can you believe I actually use to be able to resite it word for word of course I was just a kid, but darn if can do it now:sad:.

Ah well, I guess in conclusion, No harm no foul we are just to people expressing our opinions of our own beliefs, which is good and the way it should be with out all the argueing, fighting, etc... that usually and undoubtedly comes along with.

Take Care.

Haha, no Zappa was in a world of his own it seemed.

And Shane, no worries man. I'm glad we can talk about this on level ground and that we're both mature enough to handle a topic that most often gets blown out. It was actually the point in Catechism where we went to other churches, synagogues, etc. that I came to my conclusion. It's just funny how their branching out of religious sectors/beliefs is what backfired on me. It just became all to obvious and then I investigated further on it..including talks with my grandfather who was also a minister and a professor at a theological seminary. So you can see I didn't rashly and without deep thought come to my realization. It was an educated venture, not a spur of the moment or bandwagon issue of anyone around me. In fact, my in-laws are very religious, but they love me for who I am...which is how it should be. So yah, everyone is open to their own beliefs. We can totally agree on that...

Sorry to resurrect (hahahahaha yes pun intended hahaha i kill myself) this topic but I've sort of been gone hahahaha.

My thoughts on religion will be preceded by my experience in religion in chronologocal order as much as possible...

Born Catholic, 8 yrs old was thrown to Jehova's Witness, off and on Christian through my maternal Grandmother, Evangelist visiting for about a year in my teens, Muslim interest via an a maternal uncle who decided he was on to something, Buddhist through curiousity, Taoist through the same, even had a brief stint studying and attending ceremonies in Satanism (bored people trying to be cool in my opinion hahahaha).

What did I learn? Most religions at their core are the same, you believe in something you can't see or prove is there, you are taught you are better than everyone else because you will be saved while others in other religions will die, and that God/Gods are Loving yet will kill you if you disobey and or don't restrict yourself of pleasurable things that are considered sins.

I stated most because of all the religions I was involved in or briefly studied, Buddhism was the most unique and brilliant. Not only did they teach love for one another but also love for everything in nature since no single entity is more important than another, be you a dog, person, or insect. It isn't perfect by any means either but they didn't chastise you for not being Buddhist.

So do I believe in a god? Not per se, but I will say this, I believe that if I did then I would not be in this style of modding cars since if I have to follow the holy book..... "Then he said to them, 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.'" - Luke 12:15

... and I love the decadence and prestige of this style hahahahahaha :smiley-rofl:

ya but modding your car isn't greedy or gread, but again it all depends on you preception and interpretation of the word. but the point I think we are all trying to make (meaning you, elpresidente, and I) is not one person is better than another, I myself am pentecostal, but the Simple fact is there is to much religion in religion. meaning they need to take out the religion and focus on the one aspect which is God/Jesus Christ or what ever you believe. Anywho it's cool with me I don't care what you believe in as long as your a cool cat. Oh, and I also have tried the formention with the exception of taoism and muslim.

Ill maners of a mispent youth:pat: :smiley-rofl:

Yeah it was for 06-06-06 and it also happened for 2k but see you must remember that all those people that vehemntly believe the literal end of the world, as in destruction or physical alteration thereof, are nothing more than the extremist counterparts to those extremist muslims that believe in the jihad and dying for Allah. Don't worry I say you have exactly "x" amount of years left of life.... now it's your job to figure out the value of "x".... hope you paid attention in class hahahahahaha

Bippu PxrLex, yes it was some guy I don't remember who, he predicted it (false prophet in my book) However, there's no way of knowing when it will come. I know there are people out there that says it states it in the bible, no it dosn't as far as a date, etc... You know the funny thing is it just takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch :pat: that goes with eveything though I guess.

She is? Now how do you think that will sit with the Jewish community? I mean as if Madonna's debacle in the Kabbalah wasn't bad enough, now we have to add LiLo?

I'm spiritual, not so much religious.

I went to church to hear the word spoken but I also read the bible myself. There's a lot of misrepresentation and room for interpretation people take advantage of in the churches. There's some sour minded people, and some blinded by faith people who both read the same passage and think two different things about it.

Whenever i hear someone speaking about the end of days i just call BS because nobody knows when until it's time.

As I said, i'm spiritual, i pray, i read the bible for guidance. And, as crazy as it sounds, I feel as though there is a god that looks away from me when I do wrong, and helps me when I do right. Even though the new Testament says we're free to wander away from him and he always pulls at us and all that good stuff...

Anyway, the spirit makes you do crazy stuff...I like watching people get up and run around the church whenever I do go. makes for great entertainment, but when it hits me, it's completely different...I just get to rocking like I'm retarded or something and my eyes start watering...nothing I can do about it, it just happens LOL! everyone does different things.

EDIT:

Oops I'm late to the discussion LOL!...Got to be more careful!
