side window curtains... yay or nay?

what is everyone's take on side curtains? i want them because it's illegal where i live to tint the side glass, so for me it's more function than look, because i have no covered parking and my leather is suffering  :-[ ...

i occasionally frequent the clublexus board and someone had asked this question before but as with most vip stuff it was not well recieved... i was hoping for a more open consensus here.

what does it matter what the consensus is?  it's your car, you have to drive it, park it, live with it.  if you like curtains, do curtains, if not, then don't.  if you feel that curtains will solve some of your heat and leather issues, then go that route. if not, then don't.

I second that

Even if curtains wouldn't look good, I think the practical use is worth it. Cracked and faded interiors are no fun

i have them in my odyssey on all 6 windows and all my friends love it
i sometimes wish i wouldve bought curtains for my rear window while i was buying the sides ＿|￣|○

Do you have pictures of it??? I was thinking of doing the same but an not sure how they'll look on a odyssey..thanks in advance..

Anyone have any pictures of their curtains?? or pics of cars with them? I seen some on cars in like VIP magazines, but I wanna see more! I think they are super awsome!

curtains are nice...
for my van i have garsons (with the red crystals) up front and the curtains from taiwan on the sides, rear and behind the front seats.

it's done... but i have been lax in taking pictures sorry :-[

there not that great of a picture but gives you a good idea
looks a lot better with the ceiling and floor lights

Wow!! Thats nice!! I'm Still thinking about getting them but not sure yet.. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them from??? 

And how is the Wagon project coming along??? I got a friend of mines with a original Ken style kit for yoiur wagon if your interested; BRAND NEW....Pm me and let me now...

I am also gonna get curtains from TW too
they have been around since early - mid 90's
not as nice as garson stuff... but I like the value

I say find silver or beige curtains, I think silver would look good on silver cars or beige for cars with tan interiors. Black is pretty much universal.

thanks. i like them as well. the wagon is coming along nicely. finally got my footwell lights working and my suspension kit came in yesterday so i cant wait to get them installed
i bought them at super autobacs in mitaka (japan) 
i was thinking of buying garson's for all 6 windows at first but $100+ for a set was a little overboard for me. the vistosos were a lot cheaper so i decided to go for those instead. i also saw a nice set of work wheels for a cheap price and suspension so i decided to transfer my curtain money into bigger items

Do they make the specifically designed for each type of car? or are they like a one size fits all kind of deal. Did you order them online from Super Autobacs?

as for the size, there are 3 sizes small, large and wide
i have large for the front, wide for the middle and small for the rear windows. they all fit perfectly
i actually visited the store and bought them.
i think i bought the front and middle curtains at a super autobacs and afterwards i wanted the rear window and bought them at a closer regular autobacs
