clamps for 2gen GS

so i've heard you can get clamps that will drop your car 3-5 inches. Is it good for the car or is it gonna be the same thing as cutting a coil off lowering springs??

do it right the first time. either get coilovers or bags. If you cant afford it then get used coilovers or buy springs. but do not i repeat, do not cut your stock springs.

spring clamps?damn das some ol skool sh*t!
my cousin did that to his car back in the days.but i dont think it will be safe.since you're compressing the spring, the chances of the spring coming off the perch is high.and plus i remembered when i used to ride in his car,it made alot of funky noise's.i would do it.

Spring Clamps?

You talking about the spring compressor tool you use to compress the spring so you can take it off the shock?

^ i think there is probably a product you can buy that is effectively like those but hopefully a bit more permanent and sortof hooks on and yes, basically compresses the spring to allow the car to sit lower.

as stated, this is some dodgey old school crap. its going to ride like sh*t too. Just buy some coilovers man you wont regret it. i like my car to ride low but you dont want it to handle and ride (and probably sound) like an old shopping trolley! When you think about this VIP thing the main 2 items are suspension and rims, so i wouldnt scrimp on one of the main ingredients!

i never heard of any clamps to lower that much. but cutting springs is the worst thing to do. i heard someone got into a car accident and flew into a ditch. i rather buy used cheap springs than cutting springs. haha.
