^ also depends on your daily drive and how aggressive you are going on wheel fitment.

i went with Insurance Group coilovers. they have pretty much the softest rates ive seen for 2GS at 10k/6k. I have lowered my car so the exhaust is about 3.5" off the ground lowest point, and stock bodywork all round is about 4" from the ground.

the ride quality is beautiful on stock 16s, rides as smooth and comfortable as stock but less floaty. But it does compress a long way. So when i get my 19" wheels i am going to go slightly less aggressive on my offsets and be sure to jack the wheels up into the guards and check that they tuck in without hitting anything. You cant really have hell flush rims outside the guards with soft rates as they will hit the guards.

also, i dont have passengers very much at all. If i did, i reckon the car would scrape over everything haha just me & the gf & my younger bro is okay, but i would never be able to take a car load full of people (or if i did i;d have to go real slow and make them get out over bumps/up inclines) !

alright well heres what i did tonight.

i dropped $1090.00 on Stance Coilovers specifically made for the 2gen GS. I'm pretty excited and I just gotta figure out the fitment and how aggressive I'm gonna go because the home owners association decided to put some gay gay gay speed bumps throughout my neighborhood. Pretty pissed about it.

With all that aside. I am pretty stoked. I will have pix here soon hopefully. I'm hoping to get them installed this week or early next week.

wish me luck.... :)

thanks for the suggestion man.

i'm gonna throw em on and see how it looks. I still have lik rims that are kinda a race look, so i'm gonna see how they looked spaced out as well.

the only set back for me are these damn speed bumps in my neighborhood.

ill let you guys know soon...

a little off topic, but "ant_jzs160" is running on stock wheels so it does make a difference in the ride quality. it has bigger tires compare to aftermarket rims. the bigger the rim is, the smaller the tires get just to fit inside the wheel well. but bigger tires makes the ride softer compare to smaller tires.
