bose amp q45 2000t
hey guys, anyone know the specs on the stock bose amp? would hooking up a 3-400w sub to it be alright?

I'm not sure the sound quality would be good if you did that. The Bose amp was for interior speakers and then the Bose sub had a powered amp attached to them. If you are using the interior amp you'll get vocal through your sub so you won't get that clean hard base you want. Personally I would just get an amp.

I dont even think 2nd gen Qs come with a sub. The amp was only used to power the 8 speakers. The only thing I think they put in there for "BASS" was the 6x9s in the back deck. The Bose amp is specificly design for those speakers. I think their something crazy like 8 ohm. Even if you swap the speakers and leave it with the stock amp it will sound like shit because they are designed to all work together... Headunit, speakers, and amp.
Seriously just buy something used. HU are cheap if you know what to look for and amps as well.
