For all the estima owners..

hey all estima owners.. i was wondering if yall know where i can find the door hinge extender for the sliding door? the rear wheel rubs all over my interior panel and now its getting pretty worn down... any help would be great....  thanks in advance! o btw.. hi im jimmy! lolz i drive a 1994 toyota previa.. pics below.. enjoy

Welcome, I saw your previa at Nisei Showoff.  It is pretty clean and I love the color.  Who did your headliner?  I showed my blue MPV but got parked all the way in the back where no-one walked by :(

Nice Egg.............so I guess I am no longer the only Purple Egg here........but that is not the "Stock Purple" correct?

As posted above, I got my Sliding Door Hinge Via Shawnthemonster.  I got no problems as I got A LOT of clearance between wheel and Sliding door.  Couple of things that you should know (Shawn told me before hand) that you will have to "Notch out" a good chunk out of the Sliding Door to make the hinge slide flat.  Another problem is that you will have on heck of a time closing the door shut.  I have gotten used to closing the door but even after I slam it (literally) shut the sensor tells me that the door is not completely shut.  I just turned off my rear door lamp and it flicker all the time.  

But other than those couple issues the sliding door will eliminate the sliding door rubbing issue.  In I can run a lot more aggressive wheels.......getting ichy to go more aggresive.  I will try to take some photos so you know you are in for.

thanks yoshi for helping him..I dont know much about the hinges because I dont have one and dont need one as I wont be running very agressive offsets for my egg hehe..

As you can see you will need to cut out a good amount from the sliding door/door panel for the long extended hinge to work.  The ability to run a lot more agressive wheels.....priceless.

I love the clearance, its too bad you couldnt hinge the piece that had to to be cut, then attach a piece of elastic to the inside top and bottom but over the outside of the hinged part so that it opens and closes with the door.....

So this is pretty much what you are going to have to do if you are thinking about running agressive wheels for the Egg.  Kind of "painful" at first, but after Cutting Fenders, Sliding Door, Panel, Etc. "cutting" does'nt seems so bad anymore.  Hope my "master techs" don't read that....because they probally won't answer my calls anymore.  LOL

shOOt & i have trouble opening the sliding door, ehhh just exit via the TOP! haha...

looks good .....bad news on the hinge though. the place that did it doesnt have the guy working for them anymore.....so no more hinge's.  do you have pics of the body work on the door panels and interior?

this is the best egg tech thread yet.. i was looking at mine trying to think of what i can make to make the door swing out more for low offset in the rear... good stuff...
