air suspension

can anyone recomend where or what kind of air suspension is good.. i have a 4 door g35.. i was looking at this one.. dude get airrunner...might cost more but the quailty is better....call up Auto Fashion they've done alot of Airrunner installs they know

in all reality...the quality issnt much better. airrunner is paying for the name. 

so i was looking online at different types of air suspension and i came across this universal air suspension.. i know airrunner is almighty but it's a little too expenssive for me.. so i was wondering if anyone could help me out on that.. the website is [url]www.universalairsuspension.com[/url] anyone heard of it or have it on their cars.?? thanks for your input.. 

I have it on my 300c, and it rides way smoother than springs. ;D I love there system.. I was going to go with airrunnner, but daym :o, 4500i$h was a lil too much for me..

Isn't much better than what? Is there any other systems out there that is 100% bolt on and adjustable dampers that is much less that Air Runner?

i wasnt saying airrunner is bad, its def good shit. but depending on the application there are kits that are just as good or better for less m,oney

I've have installed both Airrunner and Universal Air. The following is only my opinion. 
The airrunner kit it great if you are looking for a purely bolt on system. The struts and bags are good, however I wish the bags were a little thicker. Everything else in the kit is really cheap. The guages, switches, compressor, are all made by firestone. Stuff you could get in the states for a lot cheaper. Since the kit uses 1/8 inch air lines it is really slow but some people like that so they don't slam their body kit on the ground.

The Universal air kit is good but it is harder to install. If they don't have a specific kit for your car then you may have to custom fab things on your own. Basically you are replacing the springs with bags. Overall performance is better(less bouncy) at medium ride height. There are eight switches to install under the car(a pain in the ass), two for each bag, controlled by a handy box with 9 switches for front/rear/side to side/all up/down. The kit comes with two Viair compressors so fill time is reduced for the tank. The kit requires way more install space in the trunk and the two compressors are kinda loud. The tank doesn't have a drain plug on the bottom for moisture buildup. (curious to see how much water is in my tank after a couple months of use). The kit uses 1/4 inch hose so the up/down action is really fast. You can slow the down action by using a reducer on the down switch. 

I installed the Universal Air on my Dodge Magnum and haven't had any problems so far. I have the KW coilover suspension which I incorporated into the air system by using the adjustable struts. The car handles as good with the bags as it did with the springs. No rolling in the corners and ride is comparable to a coilover suspension.

Again, this is just my opinion.

with the airrunner, have you tried messing with the dampening?? you its 4 way adjustable, right? so you can play with sitffness or softness.

I looked into the Universal Air for my Y33 and they have it..$2300..WOW..I was wanting the JIC VIP Coilovers but then I saw The Air for that price. Seemed kind of inexpensive..is the quality there?..hhhmmmm..Where would the money be spent better: the Univeresal Air or Jic VIP Coilovers?..hhhmmmmmmmm..

The Cima is not on there website but he told me that they do make the kit ..here are the photos he sent me. It has 5" of travel..Check out there videos..1 drfiter with 
this kit and the other some info about the makings of this kit..They make them at the House of loweriders in California..Looks like Quality to me...but then again I am not familiar with air setups.

Yeah it seemed a little high for a 5" drop?.....Who knows maybe it was not slammed all the way....

from the other kits is seems they go lower..once again who knows..dont know if I would be the first to see...

It all depends on how you set the bags up on the struts. You will have at least 5" of adjustability from all the way down to all the way up.

We keep our costs down by not requiring a special run for each car (same slip-over bag) and keeping the existing shocks in the car.

My suggestion for the ultimate control is to run the JIC coilover and replace the coil with our aero sport bag!! We do not seal against the shock!

Nice to see you on board Zack!

I have talked to you a couple of time and still haven't had time to drop by to test fit my Blitz coilover to your bag. I will eventually get to it and if it works I will eventually use your system. I also found out that my friends at Nu Image uses your products and had nothing but good things to say.

Thanx! If you have a set of calipers and can measure the OD on the pressure to (fat part) we can see if the bag will slide over.
