*What are your thoughts on this Q45?

Featured in this month's RIDES magazine cover is a green Q45 chopped up. Throught the article they keep referencing 'VIP' this and 'VIP' that...although this car is definitely not a typical VIP car after everything was said and done. I love its stance and personally think the owner did a stunning job with the front end conversion and mods(except for the wack Jaguar side chrome peice). My question is; Can this car STILL be considered a true VIP car? I personally want to say yes...but certain things make me say no. What do ya'll think?

Styling cue is very much personal opinionated, and I think WidebodyQ would agree on this one. He did the car based on his prefs, not other peeps.

BTW, according to the threads round here, that's not the true color of the car. Victim of PS.

Personally I like what he did to the car and it's out of the box.

When you Build a car , you buiuld it for yourself ...  You have your thoughts .. nothing is wrong with that .. but WidebodyQ went full custom and wanted those ...  Not to Mention he has the Platform to build on too ... I loved to see the build on it .. just search his name ... He is a Og member on the forum and has a lot of good info to share thru his posts ...

I love the rest of the car, but i dont like the Jag sides, so sue me. Those are just [my thoughts]. the only reason i made this post was to get others OPINIONS on this car. i didn't know there was already another thread. had i seen the other one...i wouldn't have even started another thread. But i did start this thread to see how OTHERS felt about this ride because i know how nitpicky some hardcore Bippu heads can be about true VIP cars so i wanted to see how people would receive it. Obviously, everyone likes it, and i dont blame them. Case closed.

^^I second that...that made up American word needs to die.^^

As far as the color..it's a very dark green..almost black.  But US magazines hate having black or near black cover cars..which is just one lame thing I can't stand about the US car magazine industry.  I guess they don't know how to showcase a dark colored car...but then again, the shoot was done later in the day for various reasons (haha, most of us know these reasons..tow truck).

Is the car a vip car?  Of course.  If you keep up with the current and even past trends, there's nothing unusual to me about the build or it's execution.

For one to nitpick a car, they should also have a car as dedicated and custom as the one they are nitpicking. I have no opinion on it, except it was executed flawlessly, and currently undergoing another custom conversion, or so I have heard.

I have no problem if some people don't like it.  My goal was to build a car while using stance and fitment that I learned from the Euro and vip style.  From there, I just did what I think would work.  Im glad other people enjoy it as well.  Thanks for the opinions and kind comments.  I will try to take some real pics when I get my car back.

Not sure what rumors were spread and how much of them are true but I do have some plans.  The car will look different in the next few months.  The rear end in particular.
 
 
  I will have a MAJOR project next year that will top that thread but I don't think I can get as many views or posts this time around.  
 
As for a Y33, I will be building one for a friend.  He gave me a nice budget to work with and is letting me do what ever I want to do with it so expect a Y33 to come out of no where within the next 4-6 months :biggthumpup:

Agi, the only rumor I had heard was the one from your other thread where you said that you were getting some customization on the rear...y33 eh? is it going to be as crazy as your car?

No conversions for the Y33 but some things to expect would be a custom kit,  fender work, wide ass wheels and maybe even a custom color.  We will see.  I still have some more planning to do before I start but It will be one of the cleanest around if everything goes as planned :biggthumpup:

im new to vip so i really dont know much yet.. but from a person who love to build cars and i gotta say that this car is SICK... the jag vents are different but yet it still luxury and i know it wasn't cheap...the work on the car looks immaculate...   i wouldnt doubt that there is a company out there thats going to start making fake jag vents after seeing this car....

i think that car is fuckin ugly...i hate it.

THe car is basically black.  You cant even tell its green even in person but anyway black is too common.  I can't do a common color.  The car isnt suppost to be a Bentley, some people don't get it but then again some people don't get vip either no matter how many magazines they look at

No i get what you were doing im saying maybe it's the big grill if it was smooth and smaller it'd be cleaner.Other than that if not black you shoul've done like carbon metallic with a tint or some crazy color lol thats dark.

Weren't you selling your car so you could go drifting?? 
 
The forest green color is the stock color. So basically, it's stock, and not something that was put there to be seen as a 'crazy color'.

Right. The goal was to blend in to make it look like im not trying too hard. I was 10 minutes away from telling the shop "spray it BMW red" during the conversion. I was going for an OEM luxury look, just of a vehicle that doesnt exist.
 
The car is far from done. The car will never look the same from one season to the next. I know not everyone is going to like everything I do and they will argue that the car might of looked better at another point of its lifetime but im all for that as long as im being compared to myself. That was the past, I did that now its time to move on and keep things fresh with the current trends or even start new ones

the jag side pieces are one of my favorite parts on the car. makes it look real classy.

great job again, combining all the pieces and making them flow so well. not everyone can do that.

You dont have to own a VIP car to post on these forums. I can appreciate VIP cars also and thats why i post here. I never implied that Galants are VIP. I modify my galant Tuner style. Now, if ur smart, and know anything about diff Japanese car modding...u'll know the difference.

IMO this is one of the sickest Q's out there rite now. this is one of a kind Q that came out slammin... most people from the US just add kit and wheels and leave it at that. widebodyQ took the time to make it the way he wqanted it and it came out super sick imo.....:slap:
