Finished painting/installing UCF20 Visors on my UCF10
Since its impossible to find UCF10 Window Visors I bought the UCF20 ones. The Chrome trim makes it totally obvious that the rears dont fit correctly, so i decided to paint the trim black...
When I first unwrapped them. :D
Masked off with blue painters masking tape.
Sanded the trim with 600 grit sandpaper just to rough it up a bit.
Clear plastic primer and Gloss black paint. Forgot to take a pic of the clear coat :P
2 coats primer, 2 coats black, 4 coats clear.
One of my favorite employees :lol:
Let it all dry over night... SHIZZAM!, done son!

not bad..i personally wouldve just waited for the right visors..but it doesnt look too bad..although..if i was ever to pick up a 1st gen..id hit u up for sure cuz u kno all the DIY work haha

Haha thanks man. If i were to wait for the right ones to come along, my car would be sold by then lmao. I should have gotten a UCF20... they fucking have everything for them :pat:

Honestly I think any name brand paint will look good, as long as you sand the visor, primer it, color, and clear coat it. Since youre painting the whole visor though you should probably wet sand and buff it after everythings done. since its such a big surface to be painted youll be able to notice imperfections/orange peel easier.

Honestly I think any name brand paint will look good, as long as you sand the visor, primer it, color, and clear coat it. Since youre painting the whole visor though you should probably wet sand and buff it after everythings done. since its such a big surface to be painted youll be able to notice imperfections/orange peel easier.

cool thanks. i might as well do it because my visors are scratched and scuffed like crazy
You should color match them. Instead of having a bright chrome trim, you've got a dark glossy trim.
To me you just when from one extreme to the other. Color-matched, might flow a bit better.
