First ticket

i got pulled over and had my permit only.Officer was coo and everything didnt bust me for the no muffler ethier.I got a citation i guess with no price.I wonder if i go to court will they take away my permit?knowing i have a clean record?

Ticket was for going more than 300ft  in the median double lined area when there was traffic.

You are supposed to have a licensed driver with you while you're on the permit, aren't you? Check the codes on your ticket, and make sure he didn't add anything extra on there.

Also, the judge might wonder how, why the licensed driver who was supposed to be with you, didn't tell you you couldn't do what you did. Then you trap yourself by saying, "I was alone," which means you broke the rules of the provisional permit, which then can lead to it being taken away.

The only way out of this is if the cop doesn't show up and doesn't write a Written Declaration that's submitted to the court in lieu of his showing up.

Well i go to school so i told him this is the only way i can get to school and back.usually dont judges say okay with that since im getting my licsence in december?well if i dont see the cop i should just lie or what should i say?

The one i was fined for was 21460.5 (c) the fine will be around or less $143 minimum.I researched it now my question is it a point?hope not well wish the best to me.Gotta attend before november so i got a minute

If the cop's not there, it'll be dismissed. If he is, then tell the judge the truth about school and everything, and I'm sure he will lower the fine, if he even decides to keep it.

i would just postpone it twice and by the third time they usually just drop it cuz the cop gets tired of showing up lol ive done it before=)

:smiley-rofl: and if you gotta show up on the weekend for court, cops usually dont like wasting their weekend just for a driving violation. But yeah i say just postpone it twice so that by the third time hopefully itll be dropped, but it is a hit or miss lol

Actually asking for the extensions would be smarter so that by the time you go to court you can already have your license and therefore prove responsibility. also that way you hit the judge with the truth and he might just make you pay the fine and that's it.

well can i really push it until december 22 well make it january 4 since mostly dmv will be closed around my birthday?

well each extension lasts like 2 months.... so that gives you till january something the trick is to ask for the extension the same week it is due

Wait wait wait...you have your PERMIT and your parents aren't tripping about you driving around without them?
 
Are you over 18? If not you gotta get your parents to handle all your court stuff, since you are a minor. 
 
First, you did a dumbass move by taking out the car without supervision.
Second, you did a dumbass move by busting a double yellow, 100 yards, on PURPOSE.
Third, you actually think the judge is going to give you any leway with what you did? I wouldn't. 
 
I don't think you'll be able to get out of this ticket, especially with what you did, AND having only a permit.

Ummmmmm..............im turning 18 in december and they know i take the car.I went to school and i got it near the school.I go to school and back.My schools 30mins away and only transportation since i got zero period meaning 7am.and its more than 200 yards not 100.I didnt do it on purpose everybody does it.He stoped me because i went behind another car which he let go.so dont say i cant get out of it.Got clean record and yeah pretty much.They aint tripping because i have to pay for it :slap:.

First, yes, 300ft is 100yd's. 3ft=1yd. 
 
Second, just because everybody does it, doesn't mean it's not illegal. 
 
You are 17, and your parents WILL have to do everything regarding court for you, since you are a minor, you have no rights, since you are still under guardianship. Read your ticket that comes in the mail, you'll see. It plainly says it. 
 
Be prepared for high insurance rates, even if you are able to go to traffic school, and while the judge MIGHT let you slide on it, he COULD and has every right to suspend your license until you are 18, or 21 if he felt like it. 
 
Lesson learned? Don't do anything illegal, especially things that are easily avoided.
 
Don't think just because you are a new driver, and you have a 'clean record' that you'll get off easily. Techinically, you don't even have a record yet. Remember it's called a 'permit' for a reason, as you are permitted to drive while under proper supervision. 
 
Now is the best time to slap somebody with a huge fine, suspension or some shitty judge call, to instill the fear of doing something wreckless will cause them lots of trouble.

I know i have to take my gaurdian im not that dumb and i'll be waiting for the ticket.I doubt he'll do it until im 21 maybe until im 18 and also im not registered under the insurance =D ha i know i should be but my dad is.

A record doesn't have an age to begin.I can be 13 do robbery and have a record.I can be my age right now and have a record that'll carry on so i do have a record which is clean.Im not a new driver maybe to the law i been driving since last year just got my car this year and only drove to summer school with nothing.I drive carefully just this time i did something i shoudln't have because i forgot.

Just like anybody else that speeds or runs a light.Honestly im not worrying too much because you maybe say all this but you could also be those guys who get on here spook people out.I aint afraid of cops or law so im coo.Been pulled over under the influence not in a car,almost go tasered with a gun by a cop its simple just coperate and know what to say.I do.

Its not my dads it mine =D.Anything that happens to it or i do to it is on me he dont even care.So make sure you know whos car it is.Maybe not under my name though so i'll let you have that one.If my dad had this car he wouldn't even ahve bought it to be honest.
 
P.S.i dont think my dad would drive with later to be on tints with a loud stereo and rap or some other music lol.that be funny though.
