O wow ...  that is a clean clip !  they love american cars over in the Japan .. also since it was a capri it has huge fenders !

pretty f**kin awesome minus the lame a** rear bumper/lights. shoulda smoothied it and it would have been a 100% winner.

very different. a nice step away from DUB. still dig the 94-96 Imps but there's alot of them in my area with weak offset cheesy wheels.

I like it minus the Corvette tails.  I still dont get why people do that to station wagons and pick up trucks :shrug:  Other then that, it looks sick

Looks fantastic, I just wish the caprice had less of an ass past its rear fender and maybe not such a dramatic angle on the rear window.  looks really good on the front though.

I'm thinking it might have already had the rollpan with the Corvette tails when he started working on the car. The Caprice wagons were quite popular for American cars in Japan back in the mid 90s. A lot of them were imported here. And nearly all you see have body smoothing carried out and aftermarket rollpans added like the one on this. Cool to see someone thinking outside the box though. Did not expect to see a Caprice wagon looking like this!

The conversion is sick...minus the tails..that kills it.  Otherwise it looks near factory.

That is one quite sick conversion. Looks to be a lot of work though. Rear roll pan has gotta go though.

That front end seems to flow so smoothly with the bodyshape, and if i'm not mistaken, thats radiused fenders on the rear right? (Not too familiar with that shape wagon, although i have always thought it was a fat car!)
 
Hope to see this get some coverage in the mags soon (will keep checking StyleWagon etc)

you know what, it looks like they did. if i recall, don't caprice's have that half rear fender that usually covers most of the rear wheels?

Yeah they did. This one's been smoothed too, but you can still see the original rear fenders.

domestic interior in general is so ugly.

It does look good minus the tailights. They did a great job.

I know [I]I [/I]am comin in late on this but the whole package is very clean but the "tail"lights..... I know you have already talked about it but I wanted to put my two cents in also

the wheel fitment is hard, perfectly flush

front end doesnt match the rest of the car... maybe would look better with something more similar shape to the actual caprice headlights/grille... like the earlier Q45 lights.. or Y33's or something.  IMo.

Reason I asked is because people are giving a guy with a buick a lot of shit on this site about his car won't be vip. But you've just confirmed to me what I've always thought about this style of modification.

Because it's a fricken 93 LeSabre that's why! If it's not got 24's on it and half broken down, it's an old lady's car. NOTHING looks VIP about it. 

This wagon, is a caprice with a Celsior front, that's it. No need to classify it.

I get called a purist, because someone wants to take a 1993 BUICK LeSabre ( have you even seen what that looks like) and wants to put a MURAL of a STYLE of tuning. Not a mural of, I don't know, maybe something that's an OBJECT??

NOTHING was aimed as a purist motive. It doesn't work, no matter how hard you try. Do you see 4x4 trucks with some Wald wheels calling themselves vip? NO. It just DOESN'T WORK.

I'm far from pissy.lol I see what his car looks like. But I believe he wasn't just planning to do a mural of a style of tunning. He was also going to build his car with the elements and people were basically hating. It's like if you can't build something with nice stance and fitment without someone being all snobby and quick to say its not vip.lol even if that isn't what the person was after in the case of the buick guy. In my case my car isn't going to be vip but it sure will have a lot of the elements of a vip car.
