alignment shops can't camber front wheels

took my 99 gs3 to express tires to get my camber adjusted to save my tires from pre-mature wear and they said they can only adjust the rear.  the fronts were too wide and stated it'll fit the front fender if they adjusted out of neg. camber.  my rims are 19x8.5 +19 , running 215/35/19 tires up front and the car is pretty low.  has anyone experienced this?  What are my options other than getting wider fenders? thanks in advance guys!

try calling dualtone in pacific beach we send all our cars we lower to them for alignment ...ask for frank..hes my brother in law...just tell him damienat  solar eclipse sent you and he will be pretty straight up with you about it.

go ahead...they do a good job and they are way cheaper than true line...but make sure you mention my name to him

personally, thats why i usually adjust what i can, then take it to them. especially when the vehicle has been lowered, here in az, they dont want to touch anything.

wish there were more underground pit alignment shops here in az. only two, and closest one to me is like 20 miles, and has the stupidest drivein/bumper destroyer.

^ haha here in Perth there is 1 drive on aligner. and those guys there seem to have their favourites (theyve done some pretty crazy cars demo cars for their business with bags etc and drift cars) but every time i go there i seem to get attitude for being too low & running stretched tyres :rules: haha :shrug:

That doesn't make sense at a shop that does drift setups are complaining about stretched tires and being too low. Maybe it's an american thing to be as low as possible and still try to be able to drive.

^ yeh it really doesnt make sense. but they are sortof arrogant imo, they do drift setups for the main 'guys in the scene' and then they do bag setups for other big players because bags etc are very rare in Perth. But i asked them and they told me not to bother and to buy K-Sport coilovers off them..! in those words too
 
i cop SERIOUS attitude over my low ride height and stretched tyres from alignment places and tyre shops here in Perth. They all basically say 'its illegal' 'its dangerous' 'it cant be done'. im pretty sick of it actually.
 
So at least you US guys have some options! haha

yeah, well here, its rather difficult to find shops to stretch tires now. they all refuse. and yeah, ive noticed the same thing with the 2 pitalignment shops, they give off a little attitude, but yet their walls are all covered with pictures of cars theyve performed work on like lowriders, kit cars, muscle cars, lifted trucks, etc etc. 
man i feel you, because here in az, the car scene is out. and anything out of the norm cant be done, or wont be done. 
and yeah, i know its dangerous, ive done enough research to know what specs will achieve my desires, them telling me the researched and common knowledge stuff doesnt do anything.

I would take it to Clarence Brown.   Hands down the best in San Diego.

Ask for Wade, he is quite meticulous and will do it to your spec.  AND they have ramps so that your car can make it onto the laser alignment machine!

waddap freddie!  where's clarence brown at?

I guess I never realized how lucky my girl and I are! Our buddies own and work at the same shop with a drive up lift. The guy who does the fender work and the alignment is a hardcore drifter and believes you shouldn't be able to see tire between the fenders and the rims.
