VIP STATUS YO! Not even close.

End of the summer, which means its time to redo few things on the car and add few new things. I will keep adding parts to this thread as they come in and car will be revealed once completely finished. My goal is to give you florida guys run for your money hehe.

This is the first piece of the puzzle to arrive (well 4 of them  ).

More little teasers will be added as more parts arrive. For those who have no idea what car these are going onto or what the wheels are...car is a GTI and wheels...they are OEM Benz wheels.

Sick, I was going to do those SL wheels on my build. I was going to have them widened a few inches so I wouldnt have to use a crazy spacer/adaptor. I needed a lip though. Good luck

Haha yeah they are very similar, but a lot more agressive widths and offsets.

I am hoping to get new coils within next few weeks, then get rear camber adjusted, and then finally the wheels will go on. Might look into having alluminum guard made to protect my oil pan.

Boo! New coils are being pushed back for at least 3 days. On the bright side the new fuel pump should be in next week, same with all the heat wrap!

Nice, my boy has had those on his 2 or 3 times now. He's painted them and then removed them for vette wheels etc. I'll tell you this, they look sick when the VW is on air

Yeah I must say I am impressed with the following VWs have. Especially GTIs. I used to get thumbs up from older folks while driving my Q and right now it still happens, but it took a while to get used to giving a peace sign to every slightly modified VW or Audi that rolls past me.

Nice! I love those wheels on VWs!

It's crazy how Dubbers will take just about any wheel they can find, and make it work on a VW.

Another update: heat wrap has arrived! Looks nice, just need to get some clamps for it. Still no word on the suspension...going to call the guy tomorrow to see where it is. I don't want to schedule an alignment until I know coils are on their way to my house.

Also thinking of redoing my engine cover. Have one idea in mind that will reguire some work, but should look good. Might start on that this weekend.

Man this is driving me nuts...suspension is still back-ordered. But I did get a chance to put few things on...sorry for crappy iPhone pics...
Heat wrap for intake is on. Waiting to do down-pipe, mid-pipe and maybe the rear section as well.

The engine cover stays off because I'll be redoing that as well.

Also the Autotech fuel pump is in. One word: AMAZING!!! The car pulls much harder and also the power curve seems to be smoother. There's still a bit of hesitation, but I think its due to my PCV valve and Diverter valve going out. While at it I replaced the cam follower....glad that I did. The face was polished to a mirror finish...literally. There was no coating on it whatsoever. After the install, the idle is smoother and no more ticking noise!

Dark Anghell, no need to wrap the rear section of the pipe. If you want to, it wont hurt/help anything for anything...lol

Any updated pics with the new wheels on?

Marc(or is it with a K)...how goes the sale and your new position?
