what to do in hawaii?

im going over in about a month and would like some suggestions on what to do.  staying in waikiki for a week only.  hope some HI heads can chime on and help a brotha out.

bryan right?  yeah if youre on that island for sure ill hit u up.  im staying at the outrigger waikiki.  how far are you from there?  and is that spot cool?  my girl chose it, says its right in the middle of everything there.

so far all i want to do is get giovannis shrimp and some of dat shaved ice.  idk what she wants to do. what do you recommend on what we should do for the week to get the hawaii experience?

i will be here man. if you need anything plz just hit me up or pm me...but the shrimp thing....maybe i will get some of the guys together and head out there. we have not done that in a long time. for we can just head out there.. i have a rx350 too...so we can just car pool.

you got to shoot the cruise around the island.. or even take a farry ride over to maui.. that i bet youll love... you can see the coast lines of molokai maui and Ohau from the open ocean.. all i can say it nothing i have ever scene before..  and i born and raised in Hawaii.. 
 
or even could do the VIP meet..
 
Polynesian Cultral Center is a good place also. 
 
if you like Hiking.. hiking up diamond head is a easy hike.. the veiw up there is beutiful
 
and you have to eat at Bryans resturant... I heard its good.. im still trying ot make my way there but can never find parking there.. LOL or an spot that people wont door ding your car.. 
 
IF your comming in OCT there prob going to be a huge toy Sci US gathering.. all the toyota family of cars..

Hopefully the peeps in hawaii don't think i'm too touristy but here are some things me and my girl did:

1. Diamondhead (as stated) awesome, great pics of waikiki!
2. Rented scooters the whole time, super blast even though my chick was scared a fuk the first day.
3. Snorkleing @ hanauma bay 
4. Watch the sun come up at a look out on diamond head rd
5. National Memorial Cemetary
6. North shore, sunset beach and weimea bay
7. Giovannis shrimp- but that's up to you (not quite what was expected)
8. The blow hole (just past hanauma bay)
9. Puff pasteries at the grocery store (kuhio & seaside) -i think

N E ways we had a blast!!!

oh u guys forgot one more....skydiving at dillingham on north shore!
 
plenty stuff to do here, just not enough time

two words... SHRIMP TRUCK

id definately recommend riding moped for a couple days.  jus watch out for the locals.  cuz if u in my way, im gonna plow u.  haha.  jus playin'.  come over to the hotel i work at (hilton hawaiian village) to check out the penguins, pink flamingos, and various ducks that walk around (free shet).  there's also a luau over there on wednesday n sundays although its like 100 bux a person.  

definately hit up diamond head for hiking.  honolulu zoo i guess?  north shore for the beach.  matsumotos or waiolas for shave ice.  hanauma bay for snorkeling.  yama's for hawaiian food.  leonards for the malasadas and other pastries.  mai tais for some drinks and local live music.  ...and maybe pickup that magazine at the airport "101 things to do on oahu"...if u run out of things to do.  lol.

Like Marshall said.....the Polynesia Cultural Center is a must.  Hands down the best Polynesian Show on the Island.....after all it is the Number 1 paid attraction on the Island.  If you got the time do the "Circle Island Tour" Package, do it.  Also pay the little extra for the "Deluxe"...you'll be happy that you did.  With that you will be able to choose either the Luau or Ambassador Dining, Good Seats for the Show, Transportation.......yada yada yada. You will end up using a whole day but trust me...it is well worth the money.

I would say also go on a Dinner Cruise.  I reccomend the "Star of Honolulu" or the "Navatek".  FYI If you want to go and check out "Cirque Hawaii" (Similar to the Cirque Sole (sp) Concept, give me a call (808) 221-9253 I'll take care of you and your girl.

Free things:

Friday Night Fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (I believe that it is at 8 pm).
If you got a "rental car" go up to Tantalus.....beautiful view of Waikiki from the Mountain Side.
Lani Kai Beach (Ranked one of the most beautiful beaches in the US)
Watching the Sunset at Ala Moana Beach Park

Restaurants:

Zippy's (Zip Pac, Locals Favorite)
Genki Sushi (You got to try the Spicy Tuna)
Rainbow Drive Inn 
Leonards for Malasadas
Beard Papa (Cream Puffs good stuff)
Keawe's for some Pork Chops/Steak.....everything is good
Bubbies (Dark Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream/don't like the "Mochi" Ice Cream but they are Famous for that as well)
Giovanni's (as mentioned) Kahuku Shrimp Truck.  The "Spicy" Shrimp is some good stuff...but it is Spicy....you have been fore-warned.

Many more but those are some just off the top of my head.

FYI if you get a Rental Car...please don't leave any valuables in the ride......yes its Paradise but......just want you to leave with nothing but good memories.

its a chance that doesnt come along to often. its about 300 for a 8000FT jump off the coast of waikiki. 

i mean its just like a jump here in california, but honestly the view is so much sicker and calming.

damm i miss hawaii... theres this one lil restraurant i ate breakfast out there every morning when i was there... i forgot where it was at, i know it was in front of them ABC store, hahaha... but they had some BOMB ASS rice, eggs, and SPAM.. 
 
if ur room has a balcany, id recommend grabbing a 12 pack and just sit out there BUTT naked and just drink, best time of my life rite there..
