Big Brake Calipers on wheels?
Hi,
I was curious with regards to people running BBK, what are the lowest offsets and width of wheels can you fit? And disk aswell? Can you run LOW disk or Super Low Disk?
I am actually asking more towards UCF31's owners. With the monoblock calipers they have, what size width, offset, disk can you fit?!
Thank you and any inputs are appreciated.
Regards.

It's not that easy. It all depends on the style of the wheel.

its all about disk height. you must have HIGH disk for BBK or even my stock ls430 brakes

Some wheels will allow you to run a mid disk but like gsoup mentioned, it depends on the design of the wheel and sometimes even the size of the wheel.

true that...I think those designs will work..
personally I dont care anymore.....if ima run some vip wheels on the LS its gonna have some damn lip...
Im gonna do a step lip minimum of 2 1/2 to 3 inches up front....if it needs to go to body shop to fit....then thats what gonna happen.
in addition I might have to run a spacer to clear BBK:signdammit:

So just to be clear, you can still use spacers correct?
Like example if you were to use a low disk wheel, you can just add spacers?

Not sure how good quality those spacers are, but sometimes it might cause wheel vibration.
Try to get those hubcentric ones if you're getting spacers.
Erm... Let's say that running medium disk, your BBK will sit flush. Why would you wanna run spacers on lowdisk to do the same thing?
If it's the lip that you'd want, they get the mediumdisk but with a more aggresive offsets/width would be a better option.
The only option I think would justify running spacers is that comparing both low & medium disk, where running medium disk will lose much more lippage than a lowdisk with the right amount of spacers.
Oh, at the end of the day, if you're getting a new set of wheels, do it right the 1st time. No such privilege on a used set of alloys though.

Yah, I am going for the max lip on the front if I were to put some BBK.
Your correct, its better to get medium disk and run a more agressive offset/width.
Thank you!!

Ive got high disk in the front, and they barely clear my brakes. Its like a perfect fitment, you could probably only fit a piece of paper between the spokes and caliper. I run a 5mm spacer in the front just to be on the safe side. The fronts are 20x9

Oh...
but how come you still have such a bigger lip on the fronts?
What offsets are you running on the front?
