Driving at 45mph and then...............

WHAM!!!Everyhting went black.Wonder what it was. My hood flew off into my windshield and messed my **** up.Had to drive from concord to antioch with this windshield that could've shattered anytime.Made it home 1hour later.Home at same and my baby gonna get fixed soon. =( I HOPE!!!See what happens when you dont replace a bent hood.Air takes over.Any ideas what the hood used would cost?and windshield.This sucks i was palnning on make headers and dropping it soon too.

I had a carbon hood fly off of my SC...and ruin my Kandy paint and ripped off the rear spoiler. I was running it without hood pins and didnt close it all the way.

Tell me about it i got lucky it didn't go through.I noticed the Q has the weakest hood ever.Same with the trunk.Funny thing is wehn the hood hit the top of the windshield i couldnt see squat since i was bolted still.It dented my roof a little bit fixable and all the sudden my rear view mirror falls off and my sun roof opens crazy ow it works huh?

A few years ago, G50 and Y33 used parts were hard to come by.  In 03-04, I remember seeing used G50 hoods for like $400+.  Now there are some things available for pretty good prices so your lucky.

I was lucky for my dad to LOAN me like 400 bucks to pay for the rest of my first car. Since then, I paid for everything. Never got help for anything, never bothered with having my parents help me out on my car. You are so lucky, you don't even know it.

The hoods pretty weak if you ask me.Well maybe heavy but weak.Im guessing the struts gave up and my hood was bent on the driver side meaning it wouldnt hook on right at times and this one was one where it didnt at all.:pat:

No...............My plans were to drop it but first was the hood.Thats why i kept saying im planning on dropping it later on.Headers really doesn't make a difference it's just welding in school with metal that my teacher could've supplied.And for the hood it was as bad until i happened.It did latch until one day it just bent aagin.It was fine until it bent more and bam.By the way there was nobody in danger except my the road was clear and i stopped straight without turning since i couldn't see.

I was palnning on getting a hood for so long but junkyards here just didn't have it when i called and still dont.I gotta drive to sacremento to get it now.

If you think i put people in danger you cans ay that when i race but for me caring about something else like lowering it no i wouldn't i leave the lowering for later on.:shrug:

I have i called macy's like 5678468365 times called jcpenny 43684236 times but what they told my gf that works there that they aren't hiring high school students at the moment but that was only for jcpenny.Best buys needs people who speak english and i called but still nothing.I think ima just throw applications everywhere if nobody calls im guessing its my job history if not i dunno.We'll see i gotta focus on school first but ima throw applications out ina minute this week hopefully.We'll see whats good out there i just really wanna buy my own things i applied since june just to let you know.:sad:
