Cash's Celsior

Hey all,
Thought i'd make up a thread to introduce myself and my new ride.

The lowdown is:

1990 Toyota Celsior UCF11

Engine:
*unknown* custom inlet manifold
Eaton M90 Supercharger, standard pulley
Custom intake piping to suit
Custom exhaust dumping just after rear wheels

Drivetrain:
Rebuilt auto, after original gave up the ghost

Suspension:
Factory airbags removed in place of some random coilovers, sensible-ish height, but will still bottom out occasionally.

Wheels:
SSR Vienna LX-F in Super Black Coat
19x9 +24
19x10 +37

Exterior:
Artisan Lip kit
Black badges all round
Crystal Tail Lights
Clear corner park lights
smoked indicators
HID conversion

Interior:
Fresh new leather
"retro" double din head unit, soon to be replaced with 7" touchscreen satnav
2x 12" subs, amps, components etc.
Privacy tint
remote start...

Haha, loving the funky blower set-up. Did they trim the underhood supports to make it clear the hood? Just needs to go lower...change out the coil springs with stiffer ones and put it in the weeds.

Thanks guys.
Yeh, figured I'd probably cop a flaming about the ride height, unfortunately it probably won't be going any lower for the time being. Key word being a "practical" daily driver. I measured it up and its already lower than legal height over here in Aus, not wanting any attention from the boys in blue either. Besides, I already manage to scrape it over speed humps and what-not. So until i save the coin for an air-force setup or similar, the height will remain as is...

The blower is an Eaton M90, and this particular one came off a buick motor i think. Theres a handful of companies around that do a kit for fitting them to UZ's, which comprises of manifold, gaskets, pulley, belt etc. Theres a few blown 1UZ's getting around, and they all put out around 200kw/270hp at the rears, and mine feels much like that. No ECU modification has been performed as of yet. It will be dynoed eventually and taken down the strip soon after.

It's SSR Vienna LX-F =)

Nice LS, I think it's really clean. Nice & subtle but packing some heat.
BTW do you have any interior pics?

Thanks guys.
I'll smash up some interior shots once my new screen rocks up, although the "retro" headunit looks pretty trick anyway.

As for the performance side, unfortunately oem differentials don't take too kindly to repeated Eaton abuse... It was about time for and LSD, anyway.

Pics soon

Wow
Its been over a year so I thought I'd update this thing.

In the past year I have been slowly collecting bits and pieces for the cel, although being daily driven it means I'm not always able to pull it to bits to achieve what I want.

I sourced a set of AirForce can over coils and threw them in. Havent got around to running the air lines or fitting the compressor due to the reasons stated before, but will be doing so shortly as I'm currently sorting out another daily. I dropped it more and with the help of some 25mm spacers, managed to get the rears sitting exactly how I wanted them. Some guard molesting was required to eliminate the constant smell of burning rubber.

I also picked up a lip style trunk spoiler just to see how it looked, it grew on me so I'm still sporting it now.

I swapped out the old school style panasonic head unit for a more fitting Kenwood DVD/Satnav screen. I also went through all the interior globes, replacing them with white LED ones. I also picked up some curtains and neckpads which I threw in there too.

Mechanically I've had a few hiccups. Had to replace a knock sensor which was a pain in the ass, radiator, about 3 wheel bearings and so on.

Now for the future plans. I'm currently in the process of sourcing a whole new front, which will be complimented with a new colour as well. I'll get around to putting in the air properly as well as a complete boot install. I also have a late model gated shifter which is waiting to go in once I have the time to dismantle the whole dash :signdammit:

So hopefully in the coming months there will be more recent updates. For now, heres a few pics from a recent show myself and a few of the Aus lads attended.

Very nice man! Lowering it some more and adding spacers made it look soooooo much better. What's this I hear about sourcing out a whole new front? Are you planning on some kind of conversion?

I'm feeling the celsior, all the mods but especially the lip wing and color matched emblems sets a mellow mood and sets you apart. That looks like the same color my first project was before I painted it (does that green turn purple when just a little dust settles on it?)93 Camry was my first love LoL. Toyotas/Lexus will always have a place in my heart. I also agree that some spacers up front would really set it off, rears look on point to me.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. I took all the previous feedback and did what I could with it. Initially i thought it was a bit disappointing how little progress has occured, but looking at the first pics I posted made me feel a whole lot better about where it is now.

I've always loved the 97-00 front ends, considered trading mine in for one but realised I'd lose too much coin. So I decided to go for the next best thing and chuck the late model front on mine. I'm just waiting to hear back from the importer about how much the kit is gonna cost me.

The colour is the standard Celsior one, tends to look more black when it gets dirty. I've always been all for doing things a little different. While the usual UCF1X with boxy kits and so on all look tough in their own right, I like to make mine stand out from the crowd so to speak. Hopefully I'll have more updates soon.
