New rims - All Now Here!

Well, okay so maybe this is a bit uncalled for since everyone does these 'i got new stuff' threads but hey, i'm excited, and my build thread is hidden away in 101 haha

i know the wheels are a bit soft spec wise but i daily the car and made the tough call to tone it back a bit. it hurts my pride, but i'm sure once on my car and cruising the streets with all the other stock cars it will look okay ;)

Details are Work Varianza Schwert SC2 in MSP (Machine Silver Polish)
19x9 +27 O Disk
19x10 +24 O Disk

okay, on to the pics..!

Hurrah, Boxes...

Forum image

Work Royal lock nut set, very important..

Standard Silver Centre Caps plus my optional "Moodie Red" caps i got (will choose which i prefer)

Rears should be here Thursday/Friday. They should have maybe an inch more dish, and they're both O Disk. Then the fun stuff like tyre fitment and guard mods and harness moving probably...!

ant if you would like me to merge the threads. i can do that so its not in the 101 section. however i think you should just add pictures to this since the other thread is like 3 pages.

cheers for all the positive comments guys, glad people like the wheels and the red caps too, i took a bit of a punt with those i think they cost me an extra $160AU or so so i'm glad that they look good.

BLACKonBLACK - yeah i have the red GS, made a load of annoying wheel topics but i do appreciate everyones opinions! i overlooked the Schwerts before but i didnt realise 19s came with Step Lip and then it just clicked and i wanted them.

phrosttz0 - dude i got no idea? i guess so? i dont think anyone has these in Australia at least so that was all i was thinking, but i havent seen them much apart from in Japanese magazines and they tend to be 20s so yeah may be.

mdenoga - cheers for the offer but i tend to agree with you. my build thread is a bit long and tedious so that's why i just made a new one for interest's sake about my wheels. then i can add the rears when i get them and maybe some pics of the car when it's done to round this thread out..and keep my other build one going as i do other less interesting things!

VIPLuxIS - to be honest i dont know since i chose those offsets specifically so they made them up for me, so they didnt actually have listed anywhere exactly how much lip. But by my rough calculations i figured my fronts would have 3 - 3.5" and that is about right and the rears should have about 3.5 - 4".

AME_VIP - they were sent in pairs so that the value of each pair was below the import tax threshold ;)

^ i agree on the lip thing, i wasnt fussed about max lip since i wasnt going super aggressive on offset, so i figured stepped lip is just a bit more interest & detail for your eye to pick up on the car. I'll see how i go with the centre caps, ill sell one pair or the other!

ok wheels are on. guards dimpled a bit at the edges but not too bad. it is visible but not much, im not going to stress over it :P

i have to go round and touch up all the under-edges since theyre flaked etc but the actual edges look fine to the eye. You will all have to excuse the shit fitment as the front passenger side is quite flush, but the driver side is sunken, and on the rear the driver side is flush but the passenger is sunken! So i will need to get it in for an alignment and ask them to match the camber up side to side. Hopefully the guards are rolled enough on the more sunken sides to allow them to be wound out to match the flush sides. If not its back to for a bit more rolling on those sides! Also the wheels have jacked up the car a bit, so i might lower it a bit more so it is back to the height it was. But for now..

cheers for the comments guys. AME VIP i went with 235/35 up front, as i wanted more tyre to protect the rims basically. And since i only have +27 offset i figured i shouldnt need any more stretch anyway, which seems to have worked out right.

and the pillars, yeah i have been in 2 minds about them right from the start. they were cheap ones from YAJ so i figured i could remove them if i didnt like them...but then i saw japanese cars with them with the rain guards and liked the look so i got them and now theyre all stuck on top of one another so its gonna be crap to get them off! I'll see how i go with it now the wheels are on though and if they're too much ill have to remove them..
