Achilles tyres?

hey crew,

could have put this in the tyre thread sticky but i think that is meant to be more informational. Does anyone have any experience with Achilles Tires?

I rang a few places to price up Nankang NS-II in 235/35 & 245/35 and pricing is around $280AUD. I then rang a place that sells a lot of big wheels (DUBs, etc :P) but they do good deals with big tyres and are used to stretching. They said they dont sell the Nankang anymore, as they have found a better tyre for the same money, being the Achilles.

They quoted me $230AUD for 235/35-19 & $255AUD for 245/35-19. They tell me the Achilles is the same or better for stretch than the Nankang and is silica based so is a better riding tyre.

just thought i would throw it out here to see if anyone has any experiences. the fact that theyre cheaper for the lot than the nankangs and meant to be better seems like ill go them, but thought id check here first.

cheers
