How do you pull fenders???

What is the best way to pull the front fenders on a GS??

i would like to know about this a little as well
i have searched and read quite a lot of posts on it but i would like to know more details about it

Well, there's pulling.. and then there's flipping the fender, which is what viplife did in that writeup. Flipping is a pretty major operation. Pulling as most people understand it, is usually accomplished by using the fender rolling tool and continuing to pull/roll the fender until it rests a tad bit beyond its stock position... hence a pull. Pulling, although easy, will still usually require some discretion and care and experience to avoid fucking things up

The simplest roll requires nothing but a buddy with a baseball bat, maglite, or jack handle. Have your friend hold the rolling implement at the front edge of the wheel well where it fits snugly between tire and fender lip, then roll the car backwards slowly. If you hear a lot of paint crackling and chipping then use a smaller implement. This almost always scrapes off the paint on the inner edge of the fender but rolls it up nicely to clear wider wheels.

If you want to prevent chipping of the paint, you can use a heat gun on low heat on the inside edge of the fender to slightly liquefy the paint so that it will flex over the metal. Too much heat and you'll boil and bubble the paint, too little and it won't work.

As for pulling, some cars with thinner fenders (Honda/Acura, Some Nissans, Subaru) can just be yanked on. I gained about an inch on my Legacy by physically pulling on it after a good rolling.

Just about every pull I've seen done has needed paint afterwards.  Here is my 20mm pull on my SC after many hours of work sanding/smoothing etc  60hrs labour went into widening front fender and this pull.

Thanks guys I wish I could say I did the work.  The person doing the work is definitely a proffessional.  He has done the body work on many 100k + classic mopars that have sold at Barrett Jackson Auctions.
