Curb damage: fixable or forgetable?
so, i've had my wheels on for about three months and three outta the four wheels are nicely curbed. i curbed two tonight alone (one was for the second time so that is pretty much 50% done) and i'm getting pretty fucking sick of it happening. i know it's my fault by why the hell does Taco Bell make such narrow drive thru's? seriously...
so, is curb damage fixable or are you pretty much stuck with shitty looking wheels until you have the money for new ones?

It can be fixable depending on how bad it is. Post pics.

i'll take em tomorrow when it is light out and i'm not tempted just drive the car against a long curb so he damage is even all around.

same shit happened to me... after a couple months getting my rims on I curbed 3 out 4 and 2 was done at the same time from some small ass drive thru... i definitely learned my lesson.. no more damn drive thrus! haha no matter how lazy I am, because now I'm stuck with curb rash. I was told that it's repairable and they gotta sand down the whole rim until it's leveled and re polish them. post pics of the rims so someone can chime in and give you an estimate of how much it would be to repair them. I know autofashion can fix your wheels so hit them up.

mobilewheelrepair.com ftw!
They come to your house and do all the work at pretty cheap prices, i paid $100 to get a wheel straightened out and $70 to get major curb rash fixed on one wheel.

Seriously, brother, not to be an ass but park and get out of your ride, go to the fast food counter of your choice that day, and stop jacking up your wheels in the drive thru. It's that simple. Don't blame the place for their contruction methods, it's obvious your ride / our ViP rides, are not meant for the everyday driving and abuse we put them through. We have to take special measures every where we go.
I can't tell you how many times I have scoped out parking lots, curbs, road conditions on various streets, drive thru's, construction zones, and any other road condiotins like potholes around town, just to prevent costly and time consuming headaches. I swear, I have a photographic memory. Ask me what streets and intersections are bad in Tucson (which is by the way nearly 85% of the Tucson roads), and I'll spit them out like I'm a walking and talking road condition map.
I spent 7 months in Okinawa Japan and 8 days in Tokyo, and I couldn't believe how damn perfect the roads are, any place you drive. Simply UN-F-IN believable!!
And then I come back to Tucson, and it's a damn war torn battle field just driving here. It's a joke actually.

fixing lips for curb rash isn't much...BUT like I said the shine is different and you have to polish them with metal polish every time you wash them....they actually shine more without the clearcoat on the lips when polished. but once it hazes it looks like shit.

i checked with the mobile wheel repair guys and they want $125 per wheel which i guess isn't too bad...i'm just pissed that i know it will most likely happen again and i'm gonna have to keep doing this. no matter how careful i have been and will be, it's just one of those things in the life i guess.
oh, and VIP KING...i did say it was my fault and i was just commenting on the construction of every taco bell drive through i have been through that has been narrow. if i just cut out the fast food altogether i'd save money on wheel repairs and drop some weight in the process. win-win.

Man, that is CHEAP!
But what kind of finish is it?
The wheel shop wanted some ridiculous amount to fix the lips on my Eurolines

And you sir, are very correct on that last statement. Haha
BTW, your name here, DanceCrashers... is that anything like a wedding crasher? LOL
I'm curious, do you and some buddies go to the club, and crash a bunch of fat chicks dancing in a circle or something? LOL, I can just picture it, do some fast and freaky pop-n-lock on some fatty or even a fine chick. HAhahaaa that shit would be comedy all the way!

My wheels are pretty rashed up too but they came that way used. Should be fixable but depend son price. Nu-Wheel in AZ wants like 150 a wheel.
