another q on pressure sensor for bagover

ok. well, i wont be using the switch kit that came with the uas kit, i opted for the autopilot. but the autopilot kit comes with 5 sensors, one for each bag, and the fifth for the pressure sensor of the tank. from my understanding of the autopilot, the pressure switch from the uas kit will not be needed, hence the reason for supplying the 5th switch in AP kit. am i correct? because it comes with the plug necessary in the AP kit for the 5 sensors, so will it be ok to not use the 200psi pressure switch supplied with the UAS kit?

Not to familiar with Autopilot but pressure sensors are just pressure readouts.  they send signals to the main guage to show how much pressure is on each bag and whats in the tank.  The pressure switch that comes with the UAS just shuts off the compressor when it hits the certain amount of pressure the switch is set at.  IF the fifth sensor does that then you wont need the UAS one.

I haven't used the UAS kit or the Autopilot. Does the autopilot have a 12v output to trigger the compressor relay? If so you would only need to use the AP tank sensor. If the AP cannot trigger the compressor relay, then you will need to use the UAS sensor also. If I had to guess I'd say the 5th AP sensor is only used to display the tank pressure on a gauge or readout... What do the instructions say?

lol. yeah, sounds logical. now the question is, does anyone know if that fifth sensor in the AP kit will act like a switch? if i remember correctly(about 8months now) that it does.  but can anyone confirm?
if it doesnt, then i still need the pressure switch correct? how will i go about wiring in a pressure switch and pressure sensor(if it is in fact just a sensor)?

you would just have to add a "T" fitting so that the pressure switch and pressure sensor can be put on where the pressure switch is at now.  This way the pressure switch still can shut off the compressor and the pressure sensor can send the main guage the tank pressure reading.

Get one of these but in the thread size and pitch for the tank and both sensors.

I have Easy Street Auto Pilot and I didn't need a pressure switch. When my tank is done filling up to 175 psi the compressors shut off.

When I was running bags I had a 5th switch only because if I had a leak I would be able to turn off my compressors and still be able to read my gauges instead of my compressors running all day long. Those little ass compressors can get very loud!

The Autopilot air management system will control the compressor as well.  They come complete to retrofit into any air system. 
 
They only thing that matters is the size of the airlines your using so that they'll supply the correct fittings that will tie into ur set-up. :biggthumpup:

ok. yeah, i remember them saying something about not needing the pressure switch because of their control unit being fairly advanced with enough options to control these  things.

ok. well, thats good to know. so now its a matter of using the pressure switch or not.
