The company also offers garage condo ownership at developments in Idaho, Alaska, Texas, Colorado and Washington. I think its like $6900 to own which is not bad at all. But i guess that depends on the size of the unit. It sucks there isnt one in socal though. :(

you left out a 0. the cheapest at the houston location is just under 60k, but monthly payments are around $600.

I was referring to the per year payments but ya its like 60k total. $600 is amazing cus in cali its hard to get a studio apartment for less then $900 and thats with only like 600 sq feet.

i don't see a downside either, the payments are less than what it costs to rent a similar size shop down here. as long as they'll permit me to do the work i need to do, and if i can get approved for the loan, i'm down like 4 flats no jack.
