W126= ?

Subject is wrong, supposed to be W126 - Sorry

http://www.junction-produce.co.jp/english/catalogue/benz/w126/index.html

What is the American name of the W126 shown above? I been researching and all I found was that the W126 is the engine name and there are like 5 different models for it.

Does anyone here know what the exact year range and model name is the one showed in the junction produce link above?

Any information will be helpful, thanksss!

1979-1991 Mercedes Benz S-Class

W126 is the chassis code, not the "engine name". Do they not have wikipedia in San Diego or sommething?

Shit, apparently they don't have jokes in SD either...

But just because I'm not like 10, if that question offended you, my apologies. I guess it's difficult to convey sarcasm in text.

it is appropriately known as an SEL (s classe). It actually ain't that expensive for maintenance, just because it is a benz.....actually quite reliable & runs forever

its whatever man.

anyways i found a w201 the interior is perfect and it runs like a champ. But then I saw a w126 and how junction produce fixed it up and it looks awesome. The problem im running into with the w201 is that i cant seem to find any bodykits for it because WALD and other discontinued making them =[.

W126 is the best. 1987 to 1991 if I remember correctly. 560SEL is a gas hog but fast, has timing chain issues. I have a 420SEL and it kicks ass. ~23mpg, lots of dodad's and gadgets. All black with maroon interior. I drove it from cali to minnesota 2,300 miles with 220,000 miles on it. Ran like a champ. I didn't start it all winter and let the motor die for an engine swap. If you get one just pull the motor and put a chevy small block. Can be done for under $3,000 if you know the right people. You'll rack up $3,000 just from the transmission going. They are actually very reliable however. Power everything till worked at 220,000 miles and the damn lights in the dash weren't even burnt out. Cruise control is known to go out on them but thats about it.

defkon, Wald doesn't discontinue anything. They still have the molds and will make a kit for you.
