Rear Window visor from a trunk wing?

So I got my ucf10 trunk lip wing from ebay, you know, the rubber looking one that sells for about $50 - 60 shipped. Well it just has two strips of double sided tape to adhere to the car. You just conform it to the shape of your trunk....

BUT I got to thinking how about putting it on the top of the rear window as a wing?

It can conform to the shape of your glass, to make it clean all you would have to do is measure and cut the edges of it to follow the curve of the chrome trim around the rear window.

I might just work okay since the only listed roof wings on ebay is for a ucf20 and their $200+ anyway.

Just wondering if anyone has done this yet?

Also I planned to NOT paint this if its on the rear window and order another one for the trunk and paint that to match the car.

Would that be cheap looking...would that look right?

Lemme know :P

Do it and find out. They are cheap enough that it's ok to mess it up if it doesn't look like you want it to.

Personally I would not do it. Roof wings should extend a bit further out than what that trunk wing would give you.

Post pics of it mounted on the trunk. I'm interested.

i didnt take any pics, but it does come out looking real subtle and nice. only problem is the wing will look dull because it needs to be painted to look proper.

I had wondered the same thing. I seen some window wings that looked just like those "M3" wings on eBay. Do it and then we'll know if it's worth it! Our interest is piqued lol.

those 'm3' wings definitely work as a subtle rear window spoiler.

^ +1, but on certain cars. I had one on my Altima, but I dunno if it'd look right on a UCF10.
