So much for your prediction. I knew it'd only drop worse. -70ish points was a maybe level off period yesterday, but -778 points today...
I just found out one of my co-workers lost 30k in her 401k alone....damn.

Yeah my prediction was for that next day not that day after, I was telling my brother that it would drop the next day as well!
Remember that the most point gains happened during the great depression.
Great time to make money if you buy cheap and ride long.
I've made out pretty good money this past few weeks.
Lost a little but overall it's all good.
I do feel bad for the people not in my position but if people don't sell for the most part they will be ok in the long run.
Just don't get scared and sell short!
One example is Freddie Mac
My friend and I bought at $0.29 it closed today down to $1.14, so overall we are still in the green and I don't see it dropping more than that for a while and even if it does we only invest an amount that we don't care about losing.
FRE - Freddie Mac (NYSE)

Tell your co-worker not to panic too much just wait it out, if they invested well they will get a portion of their money back in the long run, generally speaking.

She's an older lady, and probably can't wait years to get it back up, even then, it's not going to be in the black, but rather just recouping ya know?
Look at the market today, it went from -300 to +400 points.....it's all over the place and unstable really....only good news was oil dropped to under $70.
