So TeamSCP1 anybody think it's a scam?

2007 My cousin signed his 2007 Camry to get parts.They told him once he signs up he should be getting a stick and free lambo doors.Week goes,by nothing comes,he calls and they dont pick up.I call they pick up i acted like i was gonna sign up recorded them and they said the exact same thing.I now 2008 contacted them to sign up and told them about it and why im not sure if i want to sign up.They said your cousin is not in our data base or anything and that what they said wasn't true.They even said my cousin has a stock Honda Accord hahaha..........then because i said they were a scam he said he's gonna press charges on me for harrament through email.:smiley-rofl:Can you do that?What ever anyways when my cousin did sign up he started getting random card charges so he had to close the card.Now tell me anybody think they're real?I've seen Team SCP but they said their sticker says Team SCP 1.:shrug:Lets figure this out.:thelaw:

do they make u pay them to "sponsor" your car?

Yup, before we found out it was a scam since they made you pay,my cousin had already paid $89 bucks.The price now is $125 bucks if I'm correct.Sounds sketchy huh?:slap: They'll sponsor anybody that pays.Then suppose you get 50% off parts which you don't even get.

Sponsors are kewl but you never know what your getting into, and if there is no paperwork that you can take to an attorney to have it checked out then they can blow smoke up someone elses ass....   my 2 cents... i need a seat sponsor..

True that.The funniest thing is he said that they are 100% real and go to many car shows.I've only seen one TeamSCP sticker on a car just once.The reason why i knew it wasn't then is because they're TeamSCP1(Team Street Car Performance) not TeamSCP (team Sport Compact Performance) if im correct.

Any sponsor that makes you pay is not cool, scam or not. 
 
Now if you just have to rep a sticker, then they turn around and give you discounts on parts you CHOOSE to buy, or FREE parts, then go for it. 
 
It's probably a pyramid scheme, get so many people to sign up, turn around and push parts out to the people in the beginning once you get money from other people, and so on and so forth.

You only get a good deal out of it if you already have a show car from the sound of things.

Everybody else just gets stickers and fees.

Na they take your money that's all.They said they got hooks with AEM,Greddy,HKS,etc i called one and they said they know nothing of them.Well not the company because it's in Japan but a guy who gets items shipped from them said there is no such thing and never heard of it.In order for big companies like that to sponser you,they look for a car like example he gave was the new Honda Fit i think it was or Honda Jazz that his friend had when it first came out.HKS sponsered him and everything was free only thing was he didnt have his car for 6months.Now thats a sponser.

if you have any emails of them promising anything you can use it to the full extent of the law..

emails=contracts

its like a costco of car parts.. you pay to advertise for them.. they claim to give you discounts. only a few get full sponsorships.. or theyjust sponsor cars that been winning shows..

they call you teling you got apporoved.. lame.. ask me how i know.. a freind tried it even though i told him not to..

I lost all the emails i deleted them from last year.Still got the voice recorded though.:biggthumpup:

I'm always compelled to try it out and see what happens, so I document it and end the speculation.

I like the Vivid Racing method - they give you stickers, and if you rep hard they consider you for sponsorship.

But I'm a privateer (and broke) for life!

Lol well i dunno.To be honest i wouldn't want to be sponsored but again it's fun!!!Free stuff.
