Anyone feel they been "profiled" by cops?
My rant for yesterdays event:
So today I get out of school drive down the street and happen to turn into a street with a cop sitting there chillin. I pass him up, windows down listening to music minding my business. I get to the stop sign before turning left and notice the cop trying to turn around. I think nothing of it and keep driving. I notice him coming up on me but he saty to my left lane a few cars back. Once I turn right, he come right to me this time he stays on my right lane 2 cars behind. As soon as my blinker to go left to hop on 59 comes on he stops turns on the sirens and jumps 2 fucking lanes once everyone gets out of the way to pull me over. Here is how the conversation went:
Pig: Whose car is this, who did you borrow it from?
Im thinking in my head wtf?
Me: Its my car sir is there a problem?
pig: No no problem. You got any weapons or drugs in the car?
me: no not a single weapon or any drugs in the car.
pig: So you dont mind if I search the car?
me: Not at all, I reach for the handle to allow him in
pig: Its ok stay in the car. You ever been arrested?
me: Yes a couple years ago
pig: for what?
me: Felony engaging in organized crime back when I was 17
pig: How old are you now?
me: 22
pig: Still doing what you were doing?
me: I was young I stay out of trouble now I work and go to school to keep myself busy, everyone makes mistakes
pig: Where do you work?
me: I work in the galleria area for a company called ISC
him: What do you do?
me: I do payroll/billing for them
him: WHere you coming from?
me: I go to school across the street from where you first saw me
him: Ok, let me see your license and regis.
So I hand it to him and he comes back 10 mins later:
pig: We have a warrant out for someone who matches your description out of (forgot city) Georgia. You got anything you left pending over there in GA
me: I never even been to that state so no you got the wrong person.
pig: Man this is a tight spot, the description is on the dot. You go by any other names? How much you weight?
me: No I dont go by ano other names I never been out of Texas I have no clue what thats about and I weight about 175
pig: Yeap that sounds about right. You look slimmer in this picture
me: I been having that license since I was 16 years old, I gained weight after highschool? Whats the point of this?
pig: Just sit tight Im gonna see what we can do about this.
At this point Im thinking this bastards gonna take me in on some bullshit warrant he probably made up. Comes back 10 mins later
pig: Go ahead and go home Im not even gonna worry about this warrant right now.
Man that really pissed me off. bastard had nothing better to do than mess with me. Im willing to bet that warrant shit was bullshit and the he never said why he pulled me over. he didnt even mention or write me a ticket for no seat belt or 3 month old expired inspection. Shit like this really pisses me the fuck off and makes me lose alot of respect for any other law enforcement officer. 30 mins of bullshitting with this asshole. 2nd time I get pulled over for no reason and same shit "whose car is this?" first thing asked. Never get a reason for getting pulled over nothing. Anyone else been through something similar?

cops will always have a reason for pulling anybody over. "we received calls about a car that was driving irraticlly and the description matches your car." This was one of the classic "you match the description of a wanted suspect." etc.... Cops know when and what to say to get out of anything. Sometimes these profiling do work and thats why they do it. If you look like something the probability is high that you are something.

Yea but when their wrong its bs that I have to go through shit like this. I dont sell drugs I dont deal weapons none of that shit. I guess when you feel like a victim to racial profiling you view it in a different way but I get what you are saying about it sometimes working for them, I just hate that Im the unlucky target in these events.

cop: do you know why i pulled you over.
me: (in my head, could be any reason) outloud to the cop: nope not a single fucking reason.
cop: you dont have a third brake light
me: THATS NOT EVEN THE FUCKING LAW (my brother is a state inspector, i know that its not the law because a few weeks earlier he and i had just had that discussionm. all you need is a right and left brake light and ur straight.)
cop: sooo...your right, its not.
me: so then????
cop: have a good day. sorry for the trouble.
all he wanted to do is run my plates for warrants
good thing my car is registered to my parents (even though i dont have warrants myself)
and yes i really do talk to cops like that, when i know im in the right. if im in the wrong i am obviously alot nicer and more polite hoping they let me off with a warning lol.

Man, cops in your areas suck. The ones here tread careful as shit. They won't even touch me in my Infiniti. Alot of big timers around here and they are afraid to fuck with the wrong people and get legal repercussions. So if you drive a nice car, you are golden.
Even if it is 3 a.m., going through the shopping area on my way home, windows down, system hitting hard. I can dip past them and they won't budge. It's rediculous.
But if you are a minority, you're getting hit.

Not at all.
I did get pulled over twice for no-plate, because my front plate is in the window, not on the bumper.
I was going to fight the first ticket but I'm too late :(
While the cop was writing me a ticket the second time, some guy in a wheel chair pulled up next to me and started chatting about the ticket, and discussing the likelihood of getting off it in court. It was pretty funny just because it was so random, and he went and talked to the cop after he was done with me.
It wasn't profiling at all, but it was because I was out on a Sunday, which is cruise night, so they have police out basically to catch people being reckless, and when there's nothing else, hand out petty tickets to keep people in line. I don't really mind, I'm just not too happy about the tickets.
I'm hoping to get tickets for ground clearance next year, that's me goal :)

Study finds LA police stop more blacks than whites
By THOMAS WATKINS, Associated Press Writer Thomas Watkins, Associated Press Writer – 41 mins ago - Oct. 21 2008
LOS ANGELES –
A report by a civil liberties group has found that Los Angeles police officers are more likely to stop and search black and Hispanic residents than they are whites, even though whites are more often found carrying guns and contraband.
"The results of this study raise grave concerns that African-Americans and Hispanics are over-stopped, over-frisked, over-searched, and over-arrested," said report author Ian Ayres, a Yale Law School economist and professor.

I tried my best from commenting on this entirely, however I will state this.
My father is a law enforcement officer, not a PIG. He has been since he was 18. He's 64
and still going as a detective.
FACT: Officers have an incredibly uncertain life span.
It can change from one minute to the next, and most certainly without notice.
And let me say this, growing up, when your dad tells you that he tells himself
everyday before going to work "I'm coming home tonight", that will make you think twice
about being disrespectful to an officer, not PIG, as many of you easly state it.
FACT: There are more dirtbag criminals then there are bad cops.
FACT: You bet your ass they profile, they have to, even more so when there is an APB
on someone. If you were an officer, you would to. I know, I'm a Military cop (yes they have dirtbags in the military)
and while on active duty, it was part of the job. No excuses, it's part of the job, PERIOD!
FACT: Stay calm, be respectful, don't be mouthy or a smartass, answer the damn questions,
and if you have nothing to hide, then you'll have nothing to worry about. First thing you
should do is, put yourself in that officers shoes, he has absolutely no idea who you are or
what you have on you.
FACT: You have absolutely no idea what that officer just got a call for or heard on the radio.
As far as he knows, you and your ride fit the description of someone who just shot up a McDonalds down the street.
Again, you have no idea what he's just got a call for. PERIOD!
And by the way, yes I'm white, yes I drive a gangsta looking black LS430, and yes I have been
looked at by many officers while driving in traffic. However, I have nothing to hide so no worries, right!

Im white as well and I get pulled over alot. I can't drive my car without a button down shirt on or I will get pulled over asap. If I have a suit on and they pull me over, they almost always let me go (despite the fact that I havn't had a license since 2005).
They usually don't care about my license situation. They make me get out the car and search it up and down for guns. I had my front curtains ripped off atleast 4 times in NY and PA. I don't even bother putting my front curtains back on because of the cops.
The best story I got is one that happened last month. I see the cops behind me with the sirens but I am not pulling over at all because im doing 30 in a 40mph zone and I don't have tint or anything else illegal on the car. After a minute, I stop playing OJ Simpson and I pull over.
Cop- Is this your vehicle? What kind or vehicle is this?
me- Yes its mine and its custom. What was the reason for pulling me over?
Cop- Your front plate is not 12" off the ground, hell its not even 3" off the ground
me- Would you have pulled me over if I was driving a Lambo? I know for a fact the front plate on one of those is much lower then 12"
cop- I never seen a Lambo with a front plate (WTF, he just changed the subject without answering the question LOL)
I don't hate all cops, sometimes they pull me over just asking for a business card so I can help them with their rides

Yeah, I hear you brother. My personal favorite is the motorcycle officers. Geezus what a waist of resources! Even regular beat cops can't stand motorcycle cops. And my dad will tell you that.
You want to pull me over for speeding? Fine...I probably was, and I deserve what I get. Nuff Said!
You want to pull me over for improper lane change, fine, it's lame and rare but whatever.
You want to pull me over because I fit the APB description, or I look suspicious? Great, you're doing your job, and actually doing real police work.
However, pull me over for WINDOW TINT!!?? Are you out of your mind!? We live in Arizona, typical temperature is 110 degrees nearly 250 days a year! Get a clue man!
And the reason I hear, "because I can't see into your window"
Really officer? Well there are standard procedures for officers to get an individual out of a car, should they feel unsafe or unsure of a traffic stop, and I know this, and I have practiced it in real time. And there is more then one way, however the more common way is... It's called a loud speaker or AKA a PA system. USE IT!! And the cool thing is, you can use it day or night...neat huh?
And yes, all motorcycle cops here will write you or even their own friends a ticket for window tint being too dark. Damn, I can't stand those motorcycle officers. And the best part is, it's a lame fix it ticket, and everytime I saught after a cop to sign off on my tint ticket, all of them regular beat cops, they've all gave me the rolleyes look and asked..."let me guess, motorcycle officer huh?" and I would reply yes, and they would say "figures, geezus those guys are hard core and have nothing else to do".
No joke!
I asked my dad once, how many tint tickets he wrote in all his career, ZERO was his reply. I don't have time for that lame shit.
Ok, my rant is over.

But I know that some people just prefer cash and have the money.

In all seriousness, I've ran 2 red lights, trying to catch them, both in front of cops, didn't even look my way.
Speeding, just the other night, 65 in a 45 zone, right in front of a posted sheriff, turned the other way and didn't follow.
Pulled over last superbowl Sunday, because I HELLAH rubberbanded a stop, with an officer posted with his lights off so no one could see him, in the MIDDLE of the road. Pulled me over, told me I rolled through the stop, took my license and reg, ran it, waited for like 2 minutes, in that time, 2 more officers arrived and pulled over with him, I assumed he was chatting with them, but it made me think I had robbed a bank because they weren't leaving, then he came back, handed me my license and said (word for word, no joke) " I'm not here to take your money, or ruin your day, sign this, it's a warning, I've got to show proof that I warned you, throw it away, or frame it, whatever you want, just be more careful and don't do it again."
My was low as hell, has no front plate, loud, and nothing happened. Only reason I have been ticketed in it was BS ticket of 33 in a 25, you guessed it, MOTORCYCLE cop. I'm glad vip king has shed the light that those fucks aren't even liked by their own kind.
I respect LEO's, but not motorcycle cops. I got pulled over for tint as well in my LS400, biker cop said "oh, it's just a fix it ticket" , that's a waste of money, time, and now I have to take this shit off, because you are a douche bag who can't see my god damned seat belt? fuck off. /rant.

That's a nice way of putting, however here (Arizona), the ticket costs more then a new front window tint job. NO JOKE!

Not the case here in MA. as i recall... i used to get posted al the time a year ago for car being too low, too loud, driving too fast, but not anymore. i dont know why i have such good luck this year. especially since now that the whole exterior of my car has been painted and is all new. I have been told straight up by a cop that i was pulled over cuz i am driving a nice car in a bad area with tints and an exhaust. I was also at the local gas station with about 15 hondas, 5 of them with their 2-steps backfiring. They all were acting stupid and all raced off, while i calmly drove off. this put me at the back of the pack. the cops came and 7 police cars and 2 wagons pulled me over saying that i met the description of a car that was shooting in the area:pat: they asked to search the car and evrything:shrug:. i also get pulled over for being too leaned back in my seat.

My point about the fix-it ticket, was not that it was one, but that he said "oh it's just a fix it ticket" like it's not a big deal, no, not wasted money when my tint was light, and you can see clearly through it, not that it was the middle of the day, and I asked him if he could see my belt on when I passed by him, and he said ' yes I can' yet still wrote me a ticket. I had been pulled over, passed, passed by plenty of cops in that car, at NIGHT, with my blinding HID's on, going more than the posted speed limit, yet nobody said anything. nobody but that stupid motorcycle cop. WORST COPS EVER.

All you gotta do if you get pulled over with a friend in the car is be like:
"ok officer, i'm not going to lie to you, you caught us, we are busted. *point at friend* He's got a 8 ball of yay up his ass."
But to not stray from the thread more then a few times late at night the cops will drive past me and u-turn and follow me. I just stick my white ass arm out the window and it seems to work. I'm terrified to think how it'll be when my car is done.

ive been pulled over a few times and searched but no big deal b/c there's nothing to hide. ive been pulled over before driving home from texas, as soon as i crossed the state line into oklahoma a sherriff in a SUV going the opposite direction jumped the median and pulled me over. soon as i saw the red and blues i rolled down my windows (5% tint) and 2 cops hopped out one on each side of the car. got the usual "where you going/coming from" Q's. they searched my car and the only thing they came up with was my tint brow was too low. but i was cool with them and they were cool with me so no issues
here's the "G" ride i got pulled over in
