transmission question Y33..help

i just went in to get an oil change and transmission flush and when the tech was under my car he noticed that the "speed sensor plug" i think thats what its called was broken and not staying on good. i guess it helps regulate the shifts not too sure. was wondering how common is this exactly what is this plug and if you have any idea about how much this would cost me. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR THE HELP!!

If its not causing any problems now i wouldn't mess with it. If its the sensor side of the plug replacing the sensor wont cost you too much, but if its the harness side you will need to get a harness/plug from a junkyard or but a new harness because single connectors aren't sold separately. Its does exactly what its called so if your Speedometer is working fine your ok.

was the sensor leaking fluid or is it broken?? If its leaking from the sensor it probably has a crack on the tip of it.
