Drunk Drivers=GO TO HELL!!!!

OK...thos this Saturday night around 2 a.m...me and my girlfriend were driving home in the rain, well about 10 min. away from my house, I look in my rearview and see these headlights coming up on my like nothing (i was going about 50mph, he had to be at least doing 80+)......well I keep looking up, hes not slowing down, nor any sign of switching lanes....so at the last second, I cut over into the right lane extremly fast....not fast enough.....this mofo still clips a good part of my rear end and hatch...well he hits me, we both correct...and he guns it down the road!!!! I was able to drop my car down into third and keep up enough to see what kinda car it was, and the license plate...called the cops, they went to the dudes house...well on top of all of that, the cops told me when they arrived at his house asked him if he was "pig vomit" and he said yes, then asked him if he owned a truck...his answer..."no".....they then questioned another person in the house who said he did and it was in the garage....the guy then said "well, i have a truck....but its my dad's"....well the cops tell him to open the garage and his response "i can't, its not my house", cops tell him dude, we have your name registered to that truck at this address...open the garage....upon this, the guy finally does admit "i remember hitting something, but I had been drinking, so I was scared to stop (ass clown!!!)...well, heres the damage:

...I called my insurance, and now I'm just waiting for an apprasier to come out....so as I said....drunk drivers go to hell!!!

The main thing is you and your lady are ok but it does suck though Ive been there.I chased my hit and run guy down only to get non registered or stolen plates so I really got screwed so dont be too down it can be fixed.

well today me and my girl are going to the doctors, both having back and shoulder problems, and my neck is getting extremely sore....and I HATE hospitals!!!!!!!!! but hopefully with the DUI and the leaving the scene of a crash on his record, his life will be down the drain...but i'll keep everyone posted on how everything goes....i'm still just so happy they were able to catch the mother fucker >:(

YAY! more insurance money! haha, sorry, had to say it. that sucks for you guys that you are hurt...time to get a lawyer...take it all out on this guy. 

yes, my last trip to the hospital was not good....AND DUDDETS, THE STD TEST CAME OUT NEGATIVE THOSE BASTARDS!!!!!

(cliffs notes, I went to the ER for food poisoning that had gotten so bad i was puking blood for two days, I got there, they thought i had gohnaeria (sp), so they got the biggest, harriest dude there to jam a giant q-tip down my G-D pee hole!!!!! HAR HAR F'IN HAR!!!!)

and my girlfriend's mom is a lawyer and referred us to one of the best auto lawyers in jacksonville, so we're supposed to be talking with him this week....we both went to the ER last night and we have whiplash, so we are supposed to be undergoing physical therapy sometime in the near future

actually, i think I had a case of the shrinkage for about 3 weeks after that......but anyways before this gets into the NWS section :P the claims adjuster should be coming out today =D so we'll see what the damage is :'(

UPDATE!

Well...insurance lowballed me of course (1100 dollars for the repairs)...so I talked to my body shop, and we're gonna challenge that ammount with insurance....so we shall see....still driving around jacked up.....still having people laugh at my car >:(

are you going through your insurance or the drunk driver's insurance?

what sort of coverage do you have? sounds strange that you need an appraiser to see your car, rather than just going to get an estimate. usually you go to a bodyshop contracted with your insurance company, you pay your deductible, and the insurance company pays the difference.

i'm guessing that either your bodyshop isn't contracted with your insurance company, and thus your insurance company sent the appraiser... or your insurance company isn't so well known.

1100 dollars?! you are getting ripped off. on my 240 when someone backed into me i got 1400 dollars. this was them TAPPING my fender right behind the headlight. the insurance company told me to get my own estimate, and send them the paperwork and they would pay it out. done and done. the bodyshops said that they had to 'replace' the fender with a brand new one, paint, blending, new side marker, new fender liner, and labor charges. you better bitch at whoever told you only 1100 dollars. that is NOT enough money, trust me. tell them you want a new bumper, and see if you could possibly get a new hatch out of it, as it is probably dented right? you could probably get a new hatch out of it too. GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. not to mention the dr's bill/medical settlement outta that, which is at least going to be 5k. right? RIGHT?! hehe....

see, thats what i was looking for honestly....but for some odd reason, they didn't send me to the three places...the shop i'm going to isn't contracted with my insurance (which is state farm), but he did dispute it and we are getting more money, just don't know the exact estimate as of yet, so i have to talk to him one of these days, but we will see...

get your own estimate. tell them you want XXXX shop to do it for you, because those are the only poeple you trust, blah blah blah. They will compensate you if you bitch at them enough. did the other guy have insurance?
