thats badass, too bad they are putting em in FORDS and not HONDAS which all the youngsters drive...

they should make that ish a standard feature in all vehicles and let you adjust it down to 70 plus disable only if it's the parent at the dealership hahahahaha

thats cool, too bad its just Ford for now. i know at some parts stores you can buy basically a (black box) that can tell parents how fast and where their kids were going in the car. easy way to catch their kid in a lie

Yeah but you ever though of this?It'll ruin yours kid's life and he'll never learn anything or experience anything.I understand that theres gangs and drugs but if you know your kid is in that, Im guessing you should act on it not install a black box feel me?

I do think it'll make teens be safe though but also ruin their privacy.Like the straight A kids who keep girlfriends on the low.:smiley-rofl:

negative, kids lie. i dont have any kids as of yet but when i do and i feel i cant trust what they tell me and there's a history of mistrust then i will do what is necessary to ensure my child is not going to places he/she shouldnt be. feel me?

Yeah i feel you.I lie alot but not on where i go feel me?now if your kids do lie on where they go then there's something big they're hiding.i'll be honest though teenagers like speed me myself speed alot but now and days i start to drive slow or normal ha.:slap:cops are always watching.But yeah maybe it is a good idea but i still think it's interfering with privacy.we all got our own opinions on this.i know i'll get it for my kids when they first start driving but after awhile i'll proabbly take it off.who knows.

No offense to the teenagers on here! BUT, teens are DUMB!  No one who is a teen will agree with this statement till they're in the mid 20's or older.  Then you realize how truly dumb you were.  The stupid things you got away with (hopefully anyhow and not worse), the places you went thinking you were hard, etc.  Teenagers have the "invincibility complex" where you think nothing can happen to you. It's a fact.  I had it big time, did so many stupid crazy things, and we're talking back in the 80's.  I went into the ghettos of Baltimore & D.C., walked through alleys at any hour of night, thought I was a real bad ass.  Thank God, I made it through unscathed.  

As a parent myself, all I can think about is how devastated I'd be if anything ever happened to my boy, I will do everything in my power to keep him safe till he's old enough to make his own choices.  Hopefully by then he'll be smart enough to know the best choices.  

As far as speed goes, yeah, kids love to speed, hell, I'm almost 40 and I still drive fast pretty much always, but moderately fast, not fast enough to stick out, but always with the faster cars for sure.  I've taken my kid to at least 6 professional races and he's only 2.5 (don't worry, he has his own head-set to protect his hearing - now when we watch racing on TV, he covers his ears, he knows the deal LOL), he's played in the race cars we have at work, and I fully plan to buy  him a Quarter Midget by the time he's 4-5 years old.  He'll be able to enjoy speed all he wants at the race track.  Hopefully growing up racing, he'll know that it belongs on the track.

Anyhow, sacrificing some of your kids freedom in order to best protect them is worth it IMO.  Like I said, as a parent, the thought of anything terrible happening to your own kid is just devastating to even think about.  When you read about some tragedy you imagine if it were your own kid and it just kills you to think what the other parents must be going through.

Im 19 and I already know I was a jackass when I first had my license at 16.  I never got caught or caused damage but I realized how stupid and idiotic the things I did where. :slap: Yes I still enjoy driving fast thats why I have my 7 series drag car to race at irwindale.:biggthumpup:  I think this intelligent key is great.  Maybe some of my friends would still be here if they were out in cars sooner.

I think it is good idea if its the parents car. I know my mom would kill me if she saw speeding and going to parties in her car. She would really send me down if I got a ticket in her car. When I have kids I would put it in my car. If the teen wants to go fast he or she can buy there own car, pay for there own gas, and pay for there own tickets.

Speak for the teens who haven't matured.:biggthumpup: I understand this clearly and I agree.I've dumb stupid things, got away, and also just say thank god I'm still here.If I was a parent, which i hope no to be until later on after UTI, i would say the exact same thing. Teens are dumb matter fact me as a more matured teen argue with my boys about doing stupid sh*t. If I go on my myspace and copy and paste my boys and my conversation, you'd understand. Lets just say immature teens, like my friend, think it's all a game. He wants to slang drugs which was something I myself did for a month. Why a month you ask it's because I made little profit and realized I'll go nowhere getting caught.. To make big dough you need to put your life on the line and be deep in the game.
