Should I keep my Alpine Headunit or go with...Clarion?

I currently have the Alpine CDA-9835 connected with the Alpine HDA-5460, Harddrive Unit... I have been hearing a lot about the Clarion DRZ9255. Is it worth it to sell both my alpine units for the clarion and does the clarion have the direct CeNet feature for the ipod?

the clarions a great piece with alot of processing power but is there a reason in swapping other than wanting to try something new?  if the alpine isnt doing what u need it to, then its a no brainer.

well, i've had the alpine since the day it came out... i love the unit

i just looked into going more sq orientated, i have already listed my harddrive unit (HDA-5460) for sale.

im also considering the Alpine w505, since they make a nice jdm dash kit for my car!

It's only worth it if you're gonna go 4-way active.  If not I would just keep the 9835.  That deck is bad.

Im sorry, i've had some of their units and they each lasted about a year...(bought one went bad and was given one= went bad) tried to get it warranteed and clarion didn't back up their product, put me through the not responsible for this/that scenrio.

i've had my alpine 9835 since '04, not one single problem!

upgrade to an alpine screen then get the h701 and there you go you have the best setup possible

thats where im really leaning towards now!!!

the 9255 won't do ce-net ipod, if i remember correctly.

with that said, the transport + processing + circuitry is really high quality on the 9255, and people have said there are SQ improvements by just putting the clarion in.

with the 505 i say the h100. not sure what, if any, the 701 offers that the h100 doesn't. that's what i'm planning for my q.

I have the 1 model lower 9830 and  love it as well.  No problems since.

A couple of main advantages that the H700/701 offers over the H100 for those that care about such things is Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS with center channel output, fiber optic inputs, and it does have more graphic equalization bands and/or parametric EQ bands. If you don't need the multimedia capability, the H100 is a great choice.

well, i might  some day do the processors.... i don't care about the dolby/dts, but i am trying to sell the HDA-5460
