how to remove OEM ucf10 shift knob?

are there any write ups that anyone knows about or do you just somehow pull it off? any help is appreciated. thanks

Sickkkk, but did you convert to a gated 95+ shifter? If not, are you sure that shifter is going to work? I thought that shifter was only for the gated ones with no button on the side to shift.

well i dont know if youve taken your shifter off or not, but the side button actually pushes another button down in the shaft so im machining the shaft round with a ledge so to put the car into gear im going push my new gear knob down and move it into gear and im relocating the O/D button :biggthumpup:

ill post pics of the parts i have, progress has temporarily slowed for the time bring......engine problems. fan clutch and water pump bracket, and figured while they were in there to go ahead and do the timing belt (its about that time anyways) so i wont have the car until next week (awaiting parts)

yeah, thats why im having toyota do it. i dont have my tools here and they wont let me do it in my upholstery class and its too cold to do outside......

also, i was reading the tutorial again and i want to relocate my O/D button to the center console but he cuts them.... do i have to cut the wires to get the knob off?
