When buying/installing air suspension from a shop...
I wanted to ask some of you air riding gurus what one should look for and ask about IF a decision has been made to drop a car off at a shop to have air suspension installed. Don't get me wrong, I understand completely that choosing your own kit/components is the connoisseur's m.o., I just wanted to clear a few things up.
Example: Person walks into shop, tells the personnel to install air bag suspension, person leaves (without the vehicle).
Forgive the crude, celebrity-inspired example, but you get the idea. Are there some components that might be typically overlooked which one should make sure they address with the installer before hand? If so, what are they? What behind-the-scenes issues/topics (things which may be obvious to someone experienced with air suspension, not a novice) should be discussed?

as long as you have the air suspension parts/tank/compressor/lines/ect... then just make sure they have installed air suspensions before.... find a shop that deals with installs like that and when come back from dropping it off you will have a nice ride with a new air suspension kit

Possibly discussing if sound deadening will be used in the trunk. Where the valves will be mounted for quiet air function, or loud noisy fun.
Might also specify where you would like gauges to be mounted, glovebox, center console, ash tray, etc.

When I worked at a shop, and if I do a side job, I'll usually go through all the parts that the customer provided prior to them leaving. I've had people bring in junk (IMO) parts, that I refused to install. I had the customer purchase product that was up to my standards, and went on.
Like what's been mentioned, I'd talk to them and see exactly what they'll be doing, where you want gauges (if you opt to use gauges, which I recommend), where they'll be mounting valves, mounting of compressors, if trim panels are included, etc. You get the jest of it.
Because you're in NY, I'd recommend using water traps and either dump slow downs or the dump silencers.
