Well, that depends on the actual coilovers themselves. I believe HKS, JIC and tein SS can go thooper low. Don't take my word for it though.
It all depends on the car and the coil-over brand/type.

Real question, how low can YOU handle. Some people's low is lower than others. I liek to scrape frame rails. some dont like to scrape lips.
Well said.

That LS that JDMGalant is rockin, now that is coo
but his isnt really "low" post up an example of what you want and maybe someone can chime in with their setup as always, best option is air on coilovers
i think lower is better. if i can get over a speed bump or entry easily; then im too high. if i scrape rails and my muffler than its cool.
prolly where the fenders are level with the rim lip, all the way around
i think hks/tein/tanabe i think they have bottom cup adjustment too, so you can like really shorten the coilovers alot from that, but everyone's low is different to another person.....and too low it could make ur car feel like crap...
Problem with the GS is that we hit our front UCA's before we are low enough. Gotta box the shock tower to get clearance to be lower.
How low are we talking here? with 20s?
Just 20's, but if baggin is the only way to get that drop and save the cars structure... I'll start saving now, sell my wife and sacrifice a christmas. Prolly by the year 2015 my ride'll look right:giggity:
^^^^^Save up for the air like you said.......I did it and I was able to buy back my daughter and wife because I had to sell them to front the cash. LOL Air Sus........your car and your wallet will thank you in the long run. But with that being said.....I got to give much props to those who roll low on Coil's.....you guys got some big wallets and cahones! Sukoshiyoshi
like everyone says... you're not low unless you scrape !
my car isnt really low, but its low enough to be illegal here in West Australia. it was around 80mm (just over 3") to exhaust and 100mm (4") to the stock bodywork. I got 19s and it seems to have raised it a bit, so i think the exhaust is now 3.5" and the bodywork is maybe 4.25". to be honest i think its a bit lame, too high and such, but its just practical as it is like i can get over most bumps crabbing and just catching the exhaust/mufflers. I only have Insurance Group coils and theyre soft, with 10k 6k spring rates. So if i go real low ill catch everything because the suspension compresses a lot when going up angles and doesnt lift the car straight up and over. Also, with my 19s at the height im at now, my rears are tucking tyre and my fronts are just in line. So straight front on or rear on it looks a bit high but from most other angles the wheels fil lthe guards enough that it looks good anyway. Also, at my height i pretty much never hit the UCA's. if you go 20s they should fill the guards real nice and if you go a similar height to me you may well tuck almost all your tyre cause the wheels are larger. The other bonus of trying to leave a little ground clearance, is that if you get a bodykit, then that will bring the height down in a big way visually. The average depth of most bodykits is around 20-25mm more than stock bodywork. So with my car for example, my bodywork is now 4.25" clearance, with a kit it would be down to about just over 3", which is pretty f*n low if you daily your car. then you have to factor in passengers if you have them, and also your offsets iif you want to kiss lips on fenders or just tuck.... its hard to get spot on mate!
