Toyota Vs Lexus

Im very into this VIP Scene.
& its so Hard to pick a car.

Ok take that back & a 1990-2000 Ls400
or a Toyota 2002 Camry.

*Btw. Has anyone seen a Vip Influenced Camry?
I think their Body is Perfect.

Re: Toyota Vs Lexus

Edit: You meant a LS... I swear it said Camry or ES300 before

Given those choices, its like going to a drifter forum and saying "Whats better for drifting? a Silvia, or a Scooter?"

Not saying the camry cant be done, (VIP styling can be applied to ANY car!) but it will be an uphill battle because there is no aftermarket support

From experience, modding a Camry will always give people the impression that it was a hand-me-down from your parents and you dont have enough money to swap it for a better car (it happened to my friend). He ended up doing the only thing possible, turning it into a sleeper and blowing away anyone who got caught next to him at traffic lights...

Oh, and someone posted a pic of a current model camry done up with custom kit/taillights etc... Looked pretty nice. But LS for the win i say

Re: Toyota Vs Lexus

Well....you could be different and try a Camry, but you'll run into more problems: few Vip style bodykit choices, FWD platform = limited wheel choices for stock body, low aftermarket support, family car stigma.

You can source parts to build a complete Vip LS in a matter of hours, and it's a tried and true platform.

Your choice depends on how much work you are willing to put into it. Even the LS will take a lot of work, don't get me wrong, but the Camry is not a Vip car, so you'll have even more work to do, to make it a convincing Vip styled car.

Also, pick the car you like best in it's stock form. If you try and work with a car you don't really like, you'll just do a half arsed job while wishing you'd picked the other.

Re: Toyota Vs Lexus

you could go for the scion for a brand new car and vip style it up.

The LS is a bit old but i would like to work on that car.

The camry = i dont think you will like the end result as much as if you went with something else.

Camry and the ES share the same chassis, not the LS

Secondly, I guess you're telling me I should be watching out for an Avalon to smoke my GS on the highway??? :2funny:

Same platform or chassis does not = same car.

Re: Toyota Vs Lexus

Go with a first gen. LS-Celsior, in my opinion it best looking vip car. Even American DUB style it's a sexy car. :smitten:
