Added Stainless pillars

Ordered these earlier this week and got them in today. They were only $100 for the whole set. Great quality. I trimmed the top off so I didn't have to take off the window visors. Besides if I did redo it and didn't trim then the surface would be uneven and the visor would step up on top of the new pillar layover. Anyways here is a tip if you are going to trim. Just use a pen or pencil to mark where you want to cut and just cut lightly along the line but don't cut through all the way. Just enough so that you can just bend the piece and it can somewhat wiggle and snap off. You're basically making a crease so you can bend and wiggle the cut piece off instead of trying to cut through the whole stainless piece. Anyways I learned that on my left side and it came out cleaner than the right. Also careful of the double side 3M....I messed up the right side alittle and had to pull it off of where it stuck on and it warped the metal. Right now I'm trying to massage it out with the palm of my hand. If I find some kind of roller that might work better.

Looks good. I like the way they look with the visors and the chrome on the lips of your wheels.

I think they only work on non tinted or lightly tinted windows. There is too much of a contrast when you put those on next to dark windows.

You have a point....glad I got medium tint all around. I'm not a fan of super dark limo tint.

I like, it's the little details that really make the car "pop". Especially how the chrome compliments each other.

If you have dark tints, just put it down the middle and not on the back windows as well. That usually works

From my understanding if you would have paid for the junction produce ones, there would have been no cutting involved, as they are made to fit with the oem window visors..........

you gotta pay the big bucks to get the good stuff!

Are you sure? Why would they automatically think you have visors? Unless it is a standard in Japan for F50s to come with visors or Junction Produce has option for with and without visors.

Are you saying since I didn't spend the "big bucks" I got an inferior product? I paid almost 3 times less than Junction Produce pillars and I'm glad I did. IMO some of Junction Produce stuff is way over priced.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say a company on here that isn't a vendor. PM me like Lexicon did.

You don't have to buy the rears. I originally bought the fronts but the guy called me back and I had an option to get the rears for $12 more. Obviously this was a no brainer.

i too agree that some of jp's stuff is way overpriced. but from my set of jp pillars it seems as though they left enough space for the visors. at least on the y33's version.

maybe yours is a little different then mine. looks good either way, i just hate to have to "fix" something i just paid for.

it isn't necessarily fix... The part was fine. It was meant to be installed without visors. I'd hate to get a part that was made short to fit for visors and not have visors. I'd rather have longer so I can trim in case if I had or didn't have visors. If the JP pillars have some space then it's a pretty good amount of space then because I had to cut about 1.5-2 inches off.

I think its retarded as well but its true. When I bought some from Japan, they came this way as well. Sorry I couldnt find close ups but as you can see, they do not go all the way to the top of the window frame.

Actually that is not short enough for visors. I cut more then that at top...HOWEVER it would still work but the back bottom portion of the visor would be sticking outwards more since it would be sitting ontop of the new JP pillar. The visors sit on the whole top ridge of the door except the rear pillar portion where it actually has about 2"x2.5" of double side contact space while the rest of the top ridge is only say 1" width.

i know there is like gooey stuff ontop of the pillars...I haven't gone and cut it out yet. It was the double side tape leftovers after I cut the pillars. I should have cleaned it up before installing them but was too excited and stuck them on. You can't see it anyways since the visors droop over it.
