help selling car...

i've been half trying to sell my g35 sedan for a few months. i have it on local car forums and a local classified site that has helped me sell cars before. newspapers dont work. it has a sign on the windshield but i always drive it to work (where i have to park in the back) or its in my drive way. i don't really have a way of parking it somewhere on weekends. does anyone have any other ideas?

go to carmax and get a quote, with this market it might be the best you can get. remember also that there are also terms that people have to meet to get loans. Not many people have extra cash just laying around and the mileage, year and condition of your car will play a big part in the banks decision along with the buyers credit.

I do the for sale ad (about $50 with default set amount of pics) that puts the ad in the local surrounding areas autotrader magazine as well as online (nationwide coverage too). I always get good traffic. And the super cool thing, is go with the "run it till it sells" version, all you have to do every 45 days (you'll be reminded via email) is to remember to select the option to re-up the ad. It's free to re-up, but you have to manually do it, or by default they'll think you sold your ride and cancel the ad.
However take note, the market is in the gutter for selling cars, it will take patients on your part.

NINJA EDIT: On a personal note, Carmax is a rip off. They will lowball you beyond your belief, however you may get an offer you like from them. I didn't and actually laughed at the guy, and was laughing when I was walking out with my buddy. He (my buddy) on the other hand got about 3K more then the dealership offered him on his Lexus 470, but was still about 1K less then what he really wanted. They took the deal as they were having a hard time selling due to the crappy market. So just beware.

i had a laughing experience at carmax with my wife's altima. i basically only want trade in. mileage is decent, and banks should have no prob with loan on the car. i may have to try autotrader.

Yeah Carmax sux but you should still get a quote and use that as your lowest quote when selling your car. 
At least if it comes down to it and you have to sell your car that day you know where you stand and have that option.

Check KBB.com also to make sure you have to right value in mind for your car.
I'm not to sure how your knowledge is when it comes to selling a car but there are a few things to consider, so the more research you do, the better.

BTW what year is your car and what are you asking for it?
I only ask this because the banks have gotten tighter with their guidelines for loans this last few weeks and some things have changed.

Also where you are, are there any military bases? 
If so they usually have consignment lots that you can leave your car at for the solders to look at. 
Autotrader is a great place to list but be sure to put as much information as possible as well as pictures so you don't get alot of stupid calls.

its an 04 with 60k miles. i'm asking around 14,700

put the ad in houston.  there are more flashy people there than beaumont.  I grew up in port arthur, which is smaller than beaumont, and had a hard time selling things there too.
