OEM HID to more blueish hue

I have a 02 Q45 and have the factory stock HID.   It's the D2S bulb.   Right now I believe the stock color temperature is around 4300K  which is pretty much white.   I want to go a shade or two up in blue.    I know I'll lose some useable light so I want to probably go around 6K max.    Does anyone know any good brands or places I can order these?    TIA

High end, Philips Ultinon. ~$100 a bulb.
Low end, eBay. ~$30 for both.

I'd just go with eBay since there's no real difference nowadays.

whatever brand you get go with 4300 or 6000. anything more and you wont be able to see well. unless you are running HID fogs as well for maximum power.

with my experience with f50 headlights id agree and would say dont go above 6000k. you lose too much output although the gatling projector looks cool with 8000k hehe. right now i got one 5000k and one 6000k i was testing which one i liked better and ended up leaving it. the difference is pretty small. i bought some 5000k philips for  90 bucks a pair on sale on some site that im gonna replace these cheap ones with. id say go brand name. so far ive tried like 3 or 4 cheap ones and they all flicker and change hue in less than a month.:shrug:

I am doing the same thing, upgrading my stock HID bulbs on my GS to 6000k and get a 6000k fog lamp kit to match.  This gentleman seems to have a good rep w/good products at a nice price:

i agree with the other, 6k is about the highest you should go.

yup...that looks like the color temp I'm aiming for.
